Hamsters LOVE mealworms and waxworms. They also like Goliath/Tomato worms when they are small to medium sized. They are all more or less good as a snack (especially waxworms and goliath worms. Mealworms can be mixed with their food).

You dont have to train it just offer it the wax worm they love them. I took care of my neighbors hamster when she was on vacation it was an old hamster . I fed it a few wax worms weekly and it was very perky and got a second wind for a few months . It was old
