I heard that Walter Jones (Zack) originally tried out for the role of the Blue Ranger, but decided to be the Black Ranger "because it'd be easier to recognize him". That's just what I heard; don't know if it's true.

@blkknightrutter I heard the same thing, plus he thought that Zack was more his personality than Billy was. Interesting enough, David Yost auditioned for the Red Ranger, but eventually realized he wasn't the "leader" type and wanted the role for the Blue Ranger instead.

We all love the MMPR theme. It was catchy, awesome, and had a kickass Flight-of-the-Bumblebee-fast guitar.

Linkara does a great analysis during this series, not only pointing out and making fun of every flaw from the writing and acting to the "effects," but also pointing out everything good about it. Not just what is good now, but what we liked as a kid, what we didn't notice back then (like the bluk and skull character development) and actually does his research unlike most commentaries on the net.

Let's not forget that Machiko Soga who played Rita in the original footage sadly lost a very long battle with pancreatic cancer. I highly recommend locating the original Japanese version of this show so you can see her in full swing uncut and undubbed. Take my word for it, SHE WAS AMAZING!!

FOR GOD SAKES, SABAN & FOX's biggest mistake during the legendary run of MMPR was that they NEVER gave Bulk & Skull a spin-off show. If any characters brought more laughs during the episodes of MMPR it was BULK & SKULL

@StreetBallaGumby they tried. the show was supposed to be about bulk and skull and them owning their grandma's hotel, or something like that. they released a VHS tape called "Bulk and Skull: the Good the Bad and the Stupid." That didn't sell at all so they took that as a sign that a spinoff wouldn't do well either
