I don't think she (Sophie) thinks she looks like Diana (or acts like Diana), I think it was just some weird fans who thought that (ten years ago) (I haven't heard much talk about it lately...until I found this thread!).

There is no "new Diana"...but even if there was, I don't think it would be Sophie. I think some people are (were, ten years ago) just too silly and too over-enthusiastic about such things. (Maybe they were the same people who wanted to clone Diana. Just kidding. I hope.)

I don't usually notice, but apparently Prince Philip's sons look like him in profile and posture (even more so on horseback) (look at old clips of Charles playing polo and at even older clips of Philip playing polo...makes them look more related to each other than usual! ^_^).

I think that there's only *the slightest* resemblance between Diana and Sophie, but some people made too much fuss over "oh, she's the new Diana". She's not. And I hear she likes blood sport. Diana was against it.

As to Sophie looking like Diana or not looking like Diana...actually she does, just a bit, in profile. (I found that out because there was a 1999 royal wedding postage stamp that showed Edward and Sophie in profile/silhouette, just the shapes of their faces. And it didn't say any names on it. I thought at first I was looking at profiles of Diana and Prince Philip [Edward's father]...then I saw the date of the wedding on it and figured out who the people were supposed to be. ^_^)

I agree about Diana being irreplaceable. (About a decade ago there was some tabloid inanely and incorrectly proclaiming something about supposed plans to clone her...and I said to myself, no thanks, she's irreplaceable.)

(By the way I believe it was her brother speaking at her funeral who first called her "the irreplaceable Diana"...then everyone else started saying it too. ^_^)

(No disrespect meant toward Sophie, but it's true that she will never replace Diana, no one ever will.)

I LOVE Chrisrian marriage ceremonies....especially Royal ones! Jewish marriage ceremonies are holy & dignified, too....but they're in a language almost nobody understands....& afterwards, there is usually raucus dancing and singing! No music allowed, (mouring 4 1st & 2nd Temples)...no choirs, nothing! Christian marriages have dignity--& Royal ones have grandeur.

My choice, anyway. My preference, anyway!

She looks like a poor man's version of Diana. That dress looks like she bought it off the rack and didn't even have it tailored. Her hairstyle is totally wrong with the tiara, and I almost wonder if she put herself together like this on purpose so no one would try to turn her into the next icon like Diana since they had a superficial similarity of looks.
