On flat stages, the weight are pretty irellevant, if the cyclist is able to keep up the peletons pace - but in hilly-terrain and in mountains it's a big advantage, if the cyclists weight are low, so they don't have to carry all thier body-mass to the top.

As far as i know, they are training several times a week. The distances varietes, and I actually don't know the excact distances. There are two types of training - team training and individual training.

The diet of a cyclist are, especilly under races, quite borring. It mostly contains carbonhydrat-full food, such as pasta and chicken ;)

I've watched Cancellara in many races and i really think that he will keep getting better so he will win the Tour de France in 2-3 years :) ..
