  • BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

  • To me, it didn't look like any of those other guys were seriously trying to win the race, which I think is very classy on their part, knowing how big of a moment that was for Jr. and for NASCAR fans.

  • dale jr has drove the 3 several times after his father's death... he didnt winn everytime he drove it

  • I remember watching this finish live. I know this, if Logano would have passed him and won or wrecked him, the majority of NASCAR fans would have never forgiven him.

  • if i was dale id be like "that one is for dad" :)

  • its been 11 years

  • Dale Jr, you did the RIGHT thing! I am proud of how much you love your daddy. The fans who hate you for it are idiots who don't understand how much you care about your dad. Dale Jr., you made your daddy proud

  • Honestly, that was a race he was meant to win.

    R.I.P. Dale Earnhardt

    1951-2001

  • I WAS SO EMOTIONAL....I cried like a baby!!!!!

SR WE MISS YA...ALWAYS FOREVER BE NASCAR.

  • the drivers purposely did not pass jr out of respect

  • i dont care what you ppl think that was a realy cool thing jr did winning with the #3 and his dad we will miss we will love him forever he will be never forgotten R.I.P DALE EARNHEADT he will be missed forever we all loved him we all will love him if he was alive right now i wonder what nascar would be like R.I.P WE LOVE YOU DALE #3

  • 'it's too good to be true' is one of the dumbest phrases ever. If you think about that phrasing, it's an oxymoron.

  • this sux it was flagged by a weirdo...

  • jr couldnt carry his daddys dirty laundry! nascar died with sr, it sucks!

  • wow.. crazy chills

  • @88tonkpils rcr plan on useing it whenever dillon makes it up to cup

  • There's only 1 way this would've been more cool: if this was the Cup race, not the Nationwide.

  • this one was a lil too good to be true. i love dale sr just as much as anyone else, he was my favorite driver growing up i loved watching him, but seriously, the first time since his death someone races the 3, its his son Dale Jr and then his son wins? its pretty obvious its too good to be true. want to see legit amazing spectacles? look at some of the races in 2001 after Sr's death. now that was real, nascar had no guiding hand in that

  • @Hlover01 lets see.. Jr runs good at daytona..he was in a RCR car..yea this is legit too

  • @Hlover01 Ok. If it were possible right now, I would like you to sit in a room and tell 42 other drivers along with their car owners that they need to let Dale Jr win this race. Let me know how that would have went? Not very good. There is no way you are going to convince a true racer to let another guy win. Get real!

  • @acdavis24540 with enough money, anything is possible. and you wouldnt have to ask the drivers, the owners are the ones that really control them

  • @Hlover01 Dale Jr raced the 3 two other times. In 2002 he raced two similar Nabisco cars, one blue Oreo #3 and one yellow Nilla Wafers #3. He didn't win in the Oreo car, but he won in the Nilla car. He also drove a black #8, along with the rest of DEI at Talladega in 2006. Paul Menard, Martin Truex Jr, and Dale Jr all had black cars like Dale Sr's. Dale's blew the motor in the Cup race, but Martin Truex Jr won in the Busch race. I'm not shooting you down, but I follow these things closely.

  • if this was fixed would you think discount tire would've payed all the money to sponsor two cars, would the sponsors of the cars that wouldn't finish in the top ten pay all the money to put their logo on the cars, hell no, for nascar to fix a race wouldn't nascar have to let every team and sponsor know whats going to happen, nascar would be screwed if they tried to fix a race because their would barely be any sponsors that would sponsor cars, and in this economy that would be so idotic

  • Comment removed

  • Well I heard it was retired but I looked and it's not but nascar says it never plans to run it again, so its basically retired. Whether it

Is or not it's not gonna be used for a very Long time.

  • Tony wasn't even trying!

God, how lame letting Jr. win just cus he's on the #3.

  • @Kranical uhm....tony stewart wasn't even out there dude he couldn't "let" jr win if he's not even there

  • @dudeustupid I'm saying Tony since he drove the #20 back in the days. Since Dale died, i don't watch Nascar anymore so I don't even know all the regulars new car number or whatever.

  • I was happy because Kyle Busch did not win

  • @sirstanley09 Tony Stewart would have tried to win it anyway

  • It was so good to see ole #3 win again...thanks Dale, Jr...you make watching Nascar worth it all again. We love you..South Carolina girl with all Pearson/Earnhardt habits!

  • lucky he didnt bash the wall too

  • Anyone who checks the results would know that this race was decided in a GWC but only because there was some "debris" on the track with 5 laps to go. Wouldn't have made a difference to the winner but rigging the race so the race is decided in a GWC is simply too far.

  • The #3 is retired in cup only, they still run It in trucks and nationwide on occasion, NASCAR owns the numbers and they are leased to the teams, regardless if Childress wants to run it in cup or not NASCAR won't allow it, they've said it a million times, the number is retired indefinitely in cup. The teams DO NOT own the numbers, NASCAR does.

  • R.i.p dale earnhardt

  • AUSTIN needs to stay out of the no. 3 In Sprint Cup to much pressure will be placed on him for driving A legends No. God gave us Dale To drive the 3 car no one else. R.I.P. my hero I miss you every race.

  • I liked this race the car running with the Son of the father who was a 2001 monte carlo lack putting the original painting and ready

  • A Prefect tribute

  • Have you noticed that stuff at Daytona happens Earnhardt related every 3 years?

1998 - Dale Sr wins the Daytona 500

2001 - Dale Sr dies in the Daytona 500 while his team cars finish 1-2

2004 - Dale Jr wins the Daytona 500

2007 - Kevin Harvick, Earnhardt's replacement, wins the Daytona 500

2010 - Dale Jr wins in the #3 at Daytona

    Odd, isn't it?

  • @20weeodst yea it is odd

  • @SmikeyJones that won't happen austin most likely will use a different number richard childress would not do that dale Earnhardt made that number is and Childress knows that he won't bring austin to cup in the 3 maybe the 33 or 98 or some other number all I know is Austin in the 3 in nationwide Ty in 3 for campingworld

  • @intimadator88 Oh is that right RICHARD????

  • Well this is what happens in races, a friendly push keeps things clean, even if it means coming in 2nd... For Example at the 2001 Daytona , JR and SR were not going to win, but they were doing (especially SR) a spectacular job of blocking cars behind them... But then again this was a Nationwide race.

  • They need to bring back the #3 in Sprint Cup. It would be driven by a Childress driver and it would look nothing like Dale Sr's car. It's been over 10 years, it's time to bring the number back.

  • Comment removed

  • @zr1drifter The number has been retired because Dale Sr. was killed. Otherwise the number 3 would still be used. I forget if they can use the 3 on a car at all or if its just not allowed with the classic Dale Sr. paint scheme.

  • @LSA2013

It wasn't retired. It's been rumored Austin Dillion might bring it to the Cup after he brings it to Nationwide (Which is next season).

  • I DOUT IF IT WAS FIXED, BUT IM SURE ALL THOSE DRIVERS KNEW THAT THE LAST THING THEY WANTED TO DO WAS TO RACE ROUGH AND WRECK HIM BECAUSE THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN HATED THEREAFTER. SO THEY MIGHT HAVE RACED HIM EXTRA CLEAN FOR THIS ONE.

  • i love the that the first thing you hear after he wins is jr saying well i'll be damned .....to much emotion in him and tony jr to be fixed....3 will live forever in our hearts!!!!

  • Alan Bestwick commentating a Dale Jr win, shades of 2001 :)

  • What I dont get is why people say it's "fixed"..... It's a nationwide race! He's a winning Sprint Cup driver... if he can't run up front and win in nationwide, then he's wasted a hella lot of years! He won fair and square... not to mention that there's too much money out there on the track to be fixing races, especially at a huge venue like Daytona.... give me a break. I'm so tired of Junior haters!

  • This proves junior has the talent he just doesn't have any motivation

  • Fix the race my ass.

  • Ive noticed theres a lot of jr haters now. Its obvious that its because hes not winning. Is that what weve come to now? Dont hate on a driver if hes not winning or not doing well.

  • That car is awesome and its cool that Logano let Jr have his moment. Go 88!

  • don't you guys know how it is concerning jr. its always "fixed", or a "BS fuel mileage win". yet when everyone else wins because of rain, cautions, fuel stragedy, etc its a legitimate win and "they earned it." i'd like to see the mastermind that can fix a race of 43 cars and get all sponsors, crew members, drivers, etc to cooperate.

  • I like Jr, but this race was a fix. PS: Allen Bestwick still is the best commentator..

  • I like Jr, but this race was a fix..

  • @MidniteHaze1 how come nascar coouldnt fix him a win at martinsville this year; tell harvick not to pass him? lol. what about charlotte? they couldve throw the yellow after he'd taken the white flag and fix him a win there too. your foolishness amuses me

  • @highway955 Because this is a nationwide race? Where the championship didnt matter?

  • @MidniteHaze1 if that were true then jr would win every nationwide race he enters, as " the championship don't matter". i already know i'm right, but i just so love your conspiracy crap. go ahead billy; gimmie another cockamania response.

  • @highway955 i agree... every time jr gets a win there is always a hater finding ways to say that he suck or that they fixed the race. He won period there is nothing to say about it. he is a really good driver and deserved that race.

  • @highway955 and 2010 Daytona 500 when Dale was in second all jamie had to do is back off little or pretend to be loose if it was staged. 2011 Coca Cola 400, all the guys in the front could have all slowed down at once to let Junior win. Michigan Brad could've pretended to run out of gas and let junior win.

  • 2:10 that boy has a super power high-five that almost threw the man over! Look for the guy in upper center.

  • @bobsmashdotcom that is not true ok you are a totall idiot did i say too much for you sorry

  • Dale would be proud ! He pushed his son in victory lane that day :) i watched the race live on track and for me it is one of the biggest races in NASCAR history ! Thank u Dale und than you Dale JR for that day ! You are the legend ! And the legend never dies....

  • Which series is this?

  • your an idiot

  • Of course it was fixed...that's why Junior has 5 championships and 93 wins, duh...I can't believe all you Junior apologists on here acting like he legitimately won a race. We all know he sucks at racing, and wouldn't even be allowed at a track if it wasn't for his daddy's famous name. He has literally NEVER won a race that wasn't fixed by the Frances so they could sell tickets, bobble-heads, and NASCAR cock rings.

  • there is no way nascar could fix that race but im sure other drivers had in mind that the #3 car was on the track and how much it would mean if jr. lost im sure logano or stenthouse coulda won but they didnt because they had respect for that #3 car

  • @dalejr88ampng1 joey wanted to win, he tried to make a move going into three but ricky didnt go with joey on the outside so joey fell back in line

  • Lets use our brains here folks. If NASCAR wanted to fix races don't you think they would like to see E. Jr (who's fan base makes up at least 60% of the viewing audience) in victory lane more often? Would a guy that has the personality of stale toast in Jimmie Johnson be a 4 time champ? Logic says no.

  • @McCall72 Ponder this. If Jr's already the most popular driver, does NASCAR really need him to win?

  • @Hlover01 yes

  • @Hlover01 obviously. they want him to win more than anything isnce that would get people excited about coming to and watching their races again..i'm a die hard and even I pay less attention if harvick is running like crap.

  • WHY HASN'T SOMEBODY MADE A MUSIC VIDEO 4 HIS WIN N THE SAME DAY AT WALMART WE BOUGHT 2 SHIRTS W/DADY ON THE FRT N JR ON THE BACK IN THE 3 CAR.PAID 1.50 YES I SAID THAT'S THE TRUTH N I THOUGHT IT WAS A MISTAKE SO I BOUGHT 2 SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT ALL NO FLUKE ON PRICE BUT WHAT A NITE I HAD GO 88 GO JUST WAHT U NEEDED SO SOMEONE MAKE A DAMN VIDEO.

  • I like how the top 4 were 4 different makes, that makes it intersting.

  • 3 on the track and won

  • Good to see Dale Jr in the winner's circle!

    And with #3 yet!

  • Awesome that Jr. won it for his dad Earnhardt's looking down on this race with a huge smile. Amazing!

  • my dad thinks they fixed the race so juniorcould win :\ but that car is so bad ass, and i want one of their pit hats lol.

  • @sirstanley09 I don't get why people hate Dale Jr? Saying the race was fixed. Its really pathetic right?

  • @ampenergy327 yes it is

  • @ampenergy327

Yes, it is pathetic that people think the race was fixed. Jr. did great at qualifying so why wouldn't he do great at the actual race?? The car ran great, so the people need to stop shouting the whole, "The race was fixed." speech. There's no reason for the race to be fixed, even though Jr. is driving the number 3 and such. People just need to get their heads out of their asses. Give Jr. a break, he's been having enough trouble already.

  • @BrutalFatality13 actually thats wahy the race could have been fixed... nascar needed him to win with that car... period, what ever help he could get, nascar was going to giv it to him, bigger restrictor plate holes, additive to the fuel, less weith what ever... he has been sucking for three years straight... and suddently gets an easy win at daytona... bullshit, but i guess well never know...

  • @alejoe84

Fixed or not fixed, it's still good that he won.

  • @ampenergy327 I don't know Sr. and Jr were my favorites but i never would think theyd fix a race so i driver would win, but most people seemed to think of friday

  • @ampenergy327 I think it's probably because he won in the 3 car. It does seem a little suspicious... I think he won fair and square though.

  • @ampenergy327

People hate Dale Jr. because he gets treated like a king by the fans and NASCAR officials and he doesn't say anything about it. Someone else like Matt Kenseth would probably tell them to play fair if that was happeneing to him. Just my take on it, I may be wrong.

  • @ampenergy327 i dont understand either just cuz jr hasnt won. like lok at martinsville charlotte and kansas he couldve won those just ran out of time and gas lol. like darlington regan smith one and people didnt say it was fixed. they are just jealouys that jrs #1

  • @ampenergy327 if nascar was going to fix a race it shuld ne a cup race

  • @ampenergy327 Go search jimmy spencer and dale jr daytona. I think he has a segment on this which is pretty funny.

  • @ampenergy327 im not saying i hated dale jr. i watched senior crash when i was about 6 years old, jr is my favorite driver... i dont even know anybody who hates dale jr.

  • @ampenergy327 What is pathetic is Nascar letting him win with his dad's car number. Dale Jr. is not even 1% of what his dad was in skill or driving experience. And such a HUGE once-in-a-life-time race like this (where he drives his dad's death car number) of him winning is a 0-0 win.

    It's obviously fixed.

  • @sirstanley09 my thing is do you think joey logano really wouldnt have tried to pass him ?

  • @brandonch25 n doubt he wouldve, he probably couldve so, i mean he looked like he wanted to a couple of times but just couldnt pull it off...

  • @sirstanley09 thats what im saying ... people say the race was fixed but if he could have pulled out to pass i know he would have dale jr won that race straight up

  • @sirstanley09 ridiculous.. and not true, but if nascar would want to fix a race it would be the daytona 500 and have jr win.. not a nationwide race

  • @sirstanley09 y would they fix it not unless u really hate him

  • YES!!!! so emotional to watch... Allan Bestwick is the best announcer.. reminds me of July 2001... thanks to all who made this happen,, GO JUNIOR!!!

  • ALLEN BESTWICK AND JUNIOR IN THE #3 CAR FTW!

  • WIN!!!!!!

  • One of my favorite finishes in NASCAR.Go #3!!

  • This is definitely one of the biggest moments in the history of NASCAR.

  • joey l. was doing some GREAT blocking

  • finally!

  • I'm not a big Jr fan by any means, but that was way cool. To see both Childress and Hendrick come together to make this happen is just awesome.

  • that was the coolest thing ever!! gr8t job jr! #3 4ever!

  • HISTORY!

  • Dale defitnly deserved that victory and im sure his father his proud of him

  • ONE OF THE GREATEST DAYS OF MY LIFE!!!!!! DALE EARNHARDT JR IN THAT FAMOUS #3 IN VICTORY LANE!!!! HOPEFULLY HE CAN SWEEP THE WEEKEND!!!!!

  • if you think this finish was staged , Fuck You

  • thumbs up if you are the 60th viewer
