His AI is a real ass when you get him flashing. Not only does he abuse the choke attack, but he makes himself invincible with the tail attack each time you try to attack.

For quite a time this guy was one of my main headaches in this game (alongside "immortal" Shredder, no less). Rahzar in the next level is nothing comparing to this one 'gator.

Also his entrance is spectacular. :D

Ok, for everyone who wants an easy way to beat this guy, just let him come to you and use his shotgun attack. Jump over the shots and fly kick him, then fly kick/jump away from him. Repeat til he starts using his garb n choke attack. This will definitely take a LOT longer than normal, but if you're patient it should leave you with lots of health to fend off his choke attack.

If I remember right, he does two regular attacks and then goes to grab you when he's low on health. This guy always gave me trouble no matter how good I got at the game.

This entrance is one of the most cinematically-constructed boss fights I've seen. The suspense level is set up perfectly; just the sound of the sewers, you walk on, then the water fills up - and then along comes a giant alligator! A+ for the atmosphere!

Ocean was absolutely horrible on the NES. Why Data East didn't make RoboCop 2 and 3 on NES is beyond me.

I used the same technique to beat him, the only part that sucks is he starts choking you when you are about to kick his ass, at that point I had to resort to the special attack.

Leatherhead gets really mad when he's low on power. It's hard to evade that grabbing move.
