Technically, if you are 16, you have three years to vote Provincially. But on that note, your discussion is on National voting and I agree with you. If you (not just you but all persons 16) are paying taxes, and can legally endanger people's lives through driving then you should be able to vote. When I was fourteen I had my first job at a gas station selling cigarettes and I was entrusted with people's lives but not with the ability to vote. Granted that's a bit young, but stupid.

But 16 year olds have a very low chance of being able to vote, Simply because the mature mind makes better decisions than the adolescent mind, which in teenagers is filled with hormones and thoughts about scantily clad women.
