@RWayne72160 u do know that bud adams originally didnt want the oilers to be in texas he wanted them to either be in jacksonville or somewhere in middle tennessee because adams had originally cut a deal with lp building products in tennessee in 1965 so he tryed to save his money for a good stadium in tennessee then they built the colluseum then the tennessee titans were born

It would have been better if we'd have never had to deal with Adams. It was bad luck that the S.O.B. lived in Houston. The Bidwill family tried to move the Cardinals from Chicago to Houston back in 1960 but for some reason or other they were denied that chance and the Cardinals were moved to St. Louis and later on Phoenix. I think we'd have been a lot better off getting the Cardinals than having to deal with Adams' constant bellyaching. Adams and the Colts' Irsay are the worst owners in NFL.

If Adams made that deal in 1965 with that building products company, the Oilers had already been around for five years anyway. The Houston Oilers were one of the AFL's original teams starting play in the 1960 season.

I sincerely doubt that. Adams is one of the most disliked people in Houston. He still lives here unfortunately because of the oil business. But the whole time the Oilers played in the Dome all he did was bellyache and complain to the press. The Texans are owned by Bob McNair who is nothing like Adams. I've never heard McNair making outrageoug comments to the press or acting like a child by giving fans the middle finger like Adams did in Buffalo this year.
