Love Top Gear and the disco is impressive but I suspect that if you gave me mud tires and a winch I could probably do the same climb in my 2wd Dakota. Perhaps it had never been summitted by a vehicle because no one had any reason to drive up there...

It might interest you to know that in 1911 a car was driven to the top of Ben Nevis! (4409ft). Just enjoy this for the entertainment it was supposed to be and keep your posturing for the playground.

@MrTaneli123 I own a Discovery II and I don't see how your comment would make any sense at all, we Landy owners have pride on owning one of the best off road vehicles ever created and won't be jealous of the own blood brothers of our loved vehicles. Time changes and of course the Disco 4 has better things that the Disco 2, but in no way does it mean a Disco 2 is worthless since it's probably one of the best Landy ever built.

I really really like Land Rovers..specifically the old Defenders but having but elements of luxury and 4x4 just seem unnecessary..then again thats what a land rover is unique , capable and nice so gotta give Land Rover that much.

i do concede that land rovers and range rovers are good off road, for a passenger suv. designed mostly for on road travel though they will never be quite as good as a jeep. a jeep is designed and purpose built to cross some of the worst terrain in the usa. and this mountain, would really not be a big problem for one. landies are good. but id have to say jeeps are better.
