  • Where I live is a hot spot for snook and everyday there's somebody taking one out the water is like no law and rules here.. Boynton beach, Florida

  • Damn man you guys make me tear...You guys are great fisher mans great job beautiful red I wish I can catch one. Great video!!

  • you sound like a douchhhhe in the very beginnnninggggg...

  • Never been?

  • Hay do you ever go fishing at tx city

  • Hey guys, i am the guy in the video who caught the red. Me and my buddy catch alot of these, and yeah you very much so have to puncture there bladders and release there air. I normally use a tiny poker for it, but sadly i had to use a knife cause it was the only thing i had on me at the time. If you do not poke these fish they will swim belly up in circles until they die. I have seen this many times and have saved some because people think u dont have to poke them.this fish was nearing 35-40lbs

  • @MitchellGoce nice catch! hope to see you on the jetties,I promise not to swim around your line,I snorkel there,or I used to.We're moving to port a by summer.

  • @MitchellGoce not to sound stupid but was this in galveston?

  • No need to puncture the bladder on fish caught in that channel. If the fish is swimming freely when its on the line, it'll swim away when released if released quickly. More damage can be done by puncturing through the side like that and most deep water fish caught offshore are only punctured when their bladder is exposed and protruding from their mouths.

  • the channel where that fish was landed from is really deep, if it hadnt been deflated, it would have just floated belly up and died. A lot of people don't know to do that. The guy in the video and i have both personally swam out and had to save fish that were released improperly. It'd be a shame to see them beauties die like that.

As far as the weight on that fish, id say between 25-30 pounds. Just a guess though, we didnt have anything to weigh it with

  • I don't think you have to deflate their bladder because caught in shallow water, but it's a good idea and glad to see it was released. I always release Bull Reds because they make the babies for future generations.

Only thing about fishing the jetties is bring plenty of tackle..

    Great fishing guys.

  • How much did it weigh?

  • cach enything you want red, bull, jelly fish

  • i always have better luck on the north jettys!
