yea im getting ubuntu on my ps3 this very moment , and i can't get beryl on it? thats one of the main reasons why i got it, i was also thinking that the ps3's graphics card would even make it better.

Since the PS3 is linux based, is it possible to install Beryl onto a PS3 console? You can install Fedora.

No,beryl or any other GL based desktop interface is not possible... well, more like not allowed since the GPU is locked out when in linux.

ok yea its me again lol u said dat u use VMware Workstation to virtualy run windows Vista, XP & so on? is VMware free 2? and does it need the internet in order 4 it to run windows Vista, XP under linux? i heard sumthing bout VMware uses a VMware's Server to store all the other platforms u ave. thanks 4 replyin en plz dont give up on me! lol

VMware is not free. But you can use Qemu, or KVM, and they are free.

Ubuntu, SUSE, Fedora are the best ones (most popular)

You can get a bootable live CD/DVD so you can try and see without reinstalling windows

Beryl is not a Linux. it is just an OpenGL accelerated desktop for Linux!

FC6 is fedora core 6. Now they have Fedora 7!

microsoft is f*cking lame, virus, trojans, spywhere etc etc flying all around, so linux is the best i think (but only when you can get things to work the way you want it)

linux kickes ass! my XP got fucked up so much lately, i reinstalled it like 5 times, but suse 10.1 is still working like the first day i instaled it. only thing is you can not play all games in linux (but you can use something like: wine, for some games) wish i had started with linux when i got my first pc, now i need to learn everything, not easy when you are used to windows (glad i got some help of an expert, otherwise it would be one hell of a job(i think) :P)

How come I sore XP on linux? Does linux allow multiple platforms to be installed and is this an inbuilt feature? Or is it another piece of software that allows linux to do this? I have heard about 'virtual machines' is this what linux 3d does?

Yikes! No wonder it records so smooth with that kind of hardware :) I have to record in 800x600 or lower if I want smooth Beryl videos :( (ati X700 under fglrx driver, using xvidcap)
