I remember the sign on 87th and the Dan Ryan. I live in Ohio now, but grew up in Chicago. My daughter used to see that sign and know that we were close to Grandma's house. I miss it, a true Chicago landmark.

The Great White Way....that strip from what I have heard was loaded with neon signs...you can see a bunch in the picture....and the scene just before your clip shows the Trailways Bus Station. Cool Stuff. I have been trying to dig up more info on the neon, and somewhere on the internet I came up with the Great White Way...for the sign company White Way.
There used to be a set of those lips along the Eisenhower between Cicero & Western.
