  • It's is none of there business if you have a gun at home. Talk about intrusive government? This guy should be fired or sued! That is an intrusive question. ITS NONE OF THERE BUSINESS!!!

  • Do we live in a police state or what?

  • I've never been to Canada but heard it called "America light". Apparently they're lighter on people's rights. I've also heard there are gaps in border guards, just like on Mexican border. I don't plan or want to visit Canada anytime soon. I doubt Liberty On Tour or many of their fans, followers, friends or supporters plan on going "North of the border", especially after seeing this video. Cops & national gov't agents seem about as corrupt & forceful in every continent & country. Am I wrong?

  • @kinleyhard You're not wrong - those are the incentives inherent in an institution that claims a "legitimate" use on a monopoly of violence. Google Public Choice Theory.

  • thats the thing about any law enforcement service...always a few meat heads who think they're kingshit just because they hold a certain authority over the public.

  • Sounds like the perfect clip to start off a real short sexual harassment case. :D

Owning a gun makes you a gun nut? Well, I'm three gun nuts alone!

  • well hell, I already knew Canadian boarder agents are just as ridiculously fucked up as American boarder agents.

  • I have to laugh at the blatant hypocrisy of the Canadian border agents calling these guys "gun nuts" who open carry without a permit. Ahem...what's that in the holster on your hip officer? Cops are the biggest friggin gun nuts on the planet.

The difference between the cops and the MHD guys who carry guns, is that the MHD guys are not authoritarian, aggressive, egomaniacs who think a uniform and badge entitle them to harass and bully innocent people.

  • When is the last time you checked? Maybe you might want to check again, since a couple of years ago the CBP agents started to be trained and armed with firearms. A simple Google search "canada border guards armed" will return results showing that they have been carrying 9mm barettas since July 2007.

It will also reveal the bizarre fact that CBP agents routinely deserted their posts when facing potential dangerous situations at their stations. How truly pathetic is that?

  • yup your right. they get to carry some death dealers now

  • Geez, guys you're overreacting. They were doing their jobs, and kept their humour to themselves.

  • Is that what passes for humour in Canada? Pity.

  • Way to go Ryan. RESIST. Nice touch.

  • Pete, you should post the badge numbers...

  • I nearly made that same wrong turn before, it's easy to do and hard to reverse in a RV. If it were me I'ld I would back against traffic for four hours before I let those statist bastards finger my stuff with their infectious pustule laden hands. Pete you realize they were looking to steal your guns from what they said during their search.

I don't see why they don't have a turn around before their barriers for people who make this mistake.

  • turning around is evidence of criminal intent! now bend over, boy. yeah, that's right. bend over ghood.

never trust anyone who inflects nearly every declarative sentence upward at the end. robotic dumbbell tyrants. whoopeee!

  • LOL

  • BS, they weren't going to steal them...they are board CBSA guards who are looking for a big score by "busting" someone trying to smuggle guns into Canada. Why do think they were doing all the joking?

Most of these guys are cop-wanna-bes who don't have the intelligence to make it on a Canadian police force.

I worked for a summer at the Bluewater Bridge in Sarnia (60 miles North of Windsor) for Customs during University. Its dead boring and you get a lot of Walter Mitty's.

  • One does not need intelligence to make it into a police force. More important is a desire to impose one's will on other people and the ability to get a conviction (whether it is the right person or not).

  • Actually in Canada, unless you have years in the military, you aren't going to be hired to be a cop with out a 4-year University degree.

    Seriously.

I don't disagree about the wanting to be an authoritarian thug, but cop jobs are so sought after up here and the competition so fierce that getting through university (not community college any more) is needed.

Even if you were right, that just shows that these border guards aren't even that smart. Glorified tax collectors...now with guns.

  • I'm well aware of that. I have 8.5 years military service and a BA under my belt. Having said that, I've met some real dumbasses who have degrees and/or have been in the military.

You don't necessarily have to be smart to get a degree.

I agree with you completely on the "glorified tax collectors with guns" point. Cheers.

  • Revenue Agents for the State.

  • @johnycannuk That's not true about cops and university. Some have it, some don't. A LOT go to a college-level police school, but I've known people become RCMP officers by just applying with high school and some work experience.

  • What are Walter Mitty's?

  • Ouch, now I feel old!

A classic Danny Kaye movie from the 40's - Walter Mity is a mild-mannered bureaucrat who day dreams of adventure and greatness instead of doing his job.

POretty funny. Check it out at IMDB.

  • you need to install hidden cameras in their

  • Awesome! :-D

  • wow, these people are dunces

  • Yeah, the Canadian government will hire anyone.
