So glad you shared this. I have alopecia and have been wearing wigs since I was about 21. I'm 46 now. I thank God for Youtube. So glad I found your channel. My hair has not grown back all over. I've had alopecia areata since I was a child. It was a long time before I learned to accept myself. Some do not understand how traumatic this disorder can be because you are not physically sick, but the mental toll it takes on you is just as bad. I remember fearing that someone would see the pits in my fingernails or if I didn't place my hair right they'd see the spot. I was stressed which only added to the loss. You are very brave, and what you did was a good thing. You are a blessing! Thanks!

I just wanted to say that I think it is WONDERFUL that you are keeping positive. I had a friend with Alopecia and she was so mean and rude. She actually stopped being my friend because She forgot to put her headwrap back on before walking in front of me. I'm just glad that you're not stopping your life b/c of it. I often wonder whether or not I'd still be friends with this girl (I honestly care less about hair, it's attitude that makes you a good person) if I hadn't seen her w/o her headwrap.

If she was truly a friend and you miss her, call or send a text/email telling her you miss her friendship and that you think she is beautiful no matter what is happening with her hair. Maybe you can still be friends. I have hair loss and my friends don't, it can be hard sometimes, because women talk about hair a lot.

@michwjohn Hello :)... I had some pretty big bald spots on the sides of my head and they have filled in. I mean it was so bad I shaved it like Co Jack (with a razor) and just put the butter on my hair everyday after my shower, and I got a lot of growth. When I put on my lace wigs I just make sure to clean the front of my hair line with alcohol to remove the oil. But I put the butter on my hair, then my wig cap then my wig. I hope this helps. I have 2oz jars avail if you just want to try it.

I realize that this is not your most recent video but, I just wanted to say, I think your hair is beautiful and I am going to purchase some of that hair butter for my aunt . She lost her hair to illness and it has not grown back, and last yes you are fly with or without the wig. I'm glad you said that.

Hi. it may have taken alot of courage but it shouldn`t have. you are a very beautiful woman and your natural hair is beautiful too. your personality shines through and that is what i like about you. i dont know how bad your hair was before but it sure is looking good now. you dont really need to wear a wig but i can understand on them bad hair days when you want a change. but in all seriousness you look great and i love the natural look on you. thanks for being brave and sharing this with us. xx

@cynthiajn1 Well first of all the reason for the video was to inspire people with Alopecia which is totally different than hair textures, it is a hair disease that robs most people of their crown of glory. Their HAIR. That is wha the TITTLE OF THE VIDEO SAYS. It does not say Hey Come Look I have Good Hair! This is really pointless explaining this to you because you dont get the point evadently. It took alot of courage to share the fact that I have alopecia and to show my hair since I wear wigs

I wear wigs and have since I was 23 due to Alopecia not by choice but because I wanted to blend in with the general public. I am now 35. @michwjohn Hello :)... I had some pretty big bald spots on the sides of my head and they have filled in. I mean it was so bad I shaved it like Co Jack (with a razor) and just put the butter on my hair everyday after my shower, and I got a lot of growth. When I put on my lace wigs I just make sure to clean the front of my hair line with alcohol to remove the oil. But I put the butter on my hair, then my wig cap then my wig. I hope this helps. I have 2oz jars avail if you just want to try it.
