That guy was Thomas Midgly junior. He got ill from handeling the tetraethyl lead that he was putting into cars and pretended that the compound was safe when he knew full well that it wasn't. He was also the guy who promoted CFCs which put the hole in the ozone layer. The bastard. Although it must be said that he would never have known about the downside of CFCs because nobody knew their photochemistry or its consequence in the stratosphere.

Lead was one of the reasons the roman empire fell (as said in the video) because of the innefective leadership some believe this was the cause that made the pax romana (roman time of peace that lasted 100 years) to stop with marcus aurelius in which his son messed the whole line up thus maybe lead made marcus's son a bad leader.
