Thanks, you're on to something there. I think of Tool's song "Stinkfist" when the bass hits those two 16th notes at the beginning of each measure. Haven't heard UMass in a while but I should Google it and see if I can hear the new cadence without having to go out to Western Mass for a football game
Nice! At 0:44, the bass line groove sounds a LOT like 'saders 1991 Cadence (I don't remember what it was called, not 'Spider' since that's a different one)...actually maybe I'm thinking of the UMass 1991 drumline cadence...either way, I've heard that groove before, and nice to hear it again, albeit randomly : )
does it strike anyone besides me as odd that they just seem to be out in the middle of nowhere in someone's driveway? i know id probably be amazingly amazed if SCV showed up in my driveway...
Opening part is not actually Crazy Army, but Murray Gusseck did get the idea from Steve Gadd's Crazy Army solo, Steve Gadd got the idea from the old drum and fife bugle corps. SCV did change it up in 03 to honor Crazy Army

It's to believe how you can "groove" without moving at all.. lol.

That's drum corps for you. You find where ever you can to do what you need to do, especially at smaller venues.
