as a break from blues I too like playing jigs etc and have this tune as one to practice.Sounds great and never mind the negative comments. The road to lisdoonvarna is a good one that I have mastered among others as also play on old button accordion [in G ] as well as lots of Aussie folk tunes .Have the printed version so will give this one a go. thanks for sharing. Ian.
hey dude some sweet playin there, you learn this yourself or off someone else, i'm tryin to teach myself atm i got a g harp only, just figured a pretty rockin bluezy thing today though stoked :) oh yea do you use circular breathin? any tips?
I use totally standard harps in Richter tuning as they come out of the box. The whole mouth and tongue chording technique is the harder part, especially if you have already learnt single-note style, but if you can play a tune out of the right corner of your mouth, you will be some way there.
very nice! this is the sound that I am trying to do. I can't quite seemm to get it yet. Are they any artist that you would recommend for me to look into for a little help?
There aren't many people in the world playing in my style, most play single note stuff....i.e. Brendan Power. There are some old or dead players you may find recordings of...i.e. Tommy Basker or the Murphy Family (Phil, John and Pip) Rick Epping is worth seeing, as is Steve Shaw from Cornwall in the UK.
there is an Irish guy named Scully who has a tuition tape(CD) and book for learning the style with tongueing and although it's a bit geared towards tremolo harmonica, as I remember, there are still some great tunes. Hobgoblin will probably do it online.
Cheers,
P.S I have loads more tune out-takes on theloveboxquartet2
Very nice!

Thanks Joel,
I play a lot of blues on the harp, I can tongue block and that, I am going to learn some reels

Nice one.
Reels are great when slowed down and grooved with a 2/4 reggae drumbeat.
Try Michael McGoldricks' album 'Fused'
It's Irish flute but it gives you the idea.
Try learning some of the tunes and play along.
Cheers,
Joel.

Hello mate! Thanks for the mention. I love your style of playing, which I can't even begin to emulate as I don't tongue-block! Brilliant stuff!
Cheers
