this was so sad omg. elena had to give up her last remaining family member in order to guarantee his life. jeremy didn't even try to put up much a fight because he knows it was the right thing to do. i feel so bad for her :(

If the alternative would've been for the writers to kill off Jeremy (which is an idea that I hope never crosses their mind) then I'm ok with them having him leave town, with the chance of coming back.

Carina's recap said that Jeremy KNEW he was getting compelled when Damon said "your sister thinks we should another one of our talks". IMO - This is the best decision for him. Chopping someone's head off at 16 is pretty traumatizing. That shit leads to all kinds of psychological issues, especially at a young age. I wish we can compell in real life LOL but seriously, MF is NOT HEALTHY for Jeremy.

i think elena, alaric and damon were absolutly right in doing his jeremy is young and should have a normal life and not be put into danger every five seconds, she is sending him away to protect him and i would do the same for my youger brother in a heart beat. maybe i am the only one who thinks this.

Yup, I think that was right thing to do. I would have done the same to my brother if I knew he was in danger. Damon is right, he might be pissed when he finds out, but.. alive. So that's a main thing. And yea, this scene is so touching and sad. I love Damon's soft and quiet voice and you can tell from his expressions that he really cares for Jeremy.

People it was only matter of time. If Jeremy stayed in Mystic Falls he was going to die. Nature seriously wants him dead. He tried committing suicide in season 1 finale but Elena managed to save him. Damon snapped his neck but he was wearing John Gilbert's ring. Them he got shot and was brought back by Bonnie. And now Klaus compelled him to get ran over by a car. @RothCirce yah... =( But Jeremy really didn't exist in the books.. Elena has a little toddler sister or brother in the books.. I think the writers stretched it out long enough.. but that is why he hasn't died yet and just going "out of town". I'm sure he'll be back! If they can pull that GHOST WORLD episode, I'm sure they can pull visits from Jer .. or THEM visiting him out in CO =)
