@0oTifferzo0 Yes, I did :P not very professional but I find that this fabric doesn't need a hem, especially with a circle skirt it would make the falling of the fabric only more heavy and I like it better this way. And nobody has noticed when I wear it (so far) :)

@82ayda I never took a course :) buy sewing magazines and learn from experience! tutorials can be very helpful as well, but I wouldn't use them as a start..

@hazelyRo I use left-over pieces of fabric to make myself a pattern on the dressform, which I then copy in the right fabric :) A very useful method, but always make sure you use fabric that is NOT stretchy for this, because otherwise you're pattern is not te be trusted ;)

@ambiL11169 I used a fabric which is VERY easy to work with, so it did not cost a lot of time to finish hems and stuff :) Good luck with your prom dress! I hope it works out but most of all have fun sewing :)

@Damourcf The fabric is lycra which is very stretchy, so there was no need for a zipper. I sewed almost everything with hand, because of the drapery I only needed to secure a few points like the shoulders and the front. The skirt I sewed on with a machine, stitching the fabric onto a piece of elastic (that had the length of my waist minus 5 cm, so that the waist of the dress stays in place) using a zigzag stitch. Hope this was of help!
