You really should learn to lane split. Seriously. Being comfortable with lane splitting is a skill which may actually save you from trouble. The few feet of space between cagers are POTENTIAL ESCAPE ROUTES. Learning to "hole shot" tight spaces; your confidence and sense of well being on the bike will soar. You will learn the senses of relaxing on the controls, creating space, and smoothness in your braking, clutching/de-clutching; especially in tight traffic. Try at low speeds first on streets.

@Nostarzrecordz Actually CA is about the only state it IS legal in. In MT here you can have two motorcycles riding abreast but you can NOT lane split.
