Totally agree with shonasdad6554, the Transalp doesnt get the recognition it deserves.. I own an 1996 TA with 46000 miles on the clock and the engine is still purring. There is a video of her on my page.
Hey there.. Harleys are nice but are not my kinda thing so can only advise as far as a Transalp goes.. My bike now has 68750 Miles on the clock and i have no problems to report.. no rust anywhere on my bike and its used all year round too.. So thats the Honda build quality for you. Im sure a Harley is a great ride too but for touring and high milage and general good fun id recommend the TA. Good luck with whatever one you choose. Safe Biking.
Very nice vid...The Honda Transalp is living proof that technology does not always have to be cutting edge to work well and that functionality will always beat gadgets and overdesign. lets hope the bike is still around in 2027!
