  • I really like this one!! Nice camera work and the stereotypes are SO DEAD ON. And I can't tell you how many fanfics I've read set in a combination Gotham/Gomorrah. Not really. (I wish. [not really {written.}]) You and my mom have enough long talks as it is.

Remind me to have "coffee" with you if I ever come to Toronto. You know, if you like that sort of thing (sex with lady fans).

  • I love standing adjacent to things! Man, maybe big cities are for me.

Hey, have you ever considered doing an episode where you... wait for it... do voiceovers AND appear? Like... INTERCHANGEABLY? That could be pretty sexy.

  • The next question, will you stand diagonally or laterally adjacent? THIS IS A LIFE DECISION.

Also, I've done that several times!

I'll be doing it again next week too.

Meanwhile, check yer email later today for SOMETHING OF INTEREST.

  • You've got a great narrating voice. Can't wait for next week to see what this "special" thing is!

Also, I liked that "Oliver's pores" in the credits, lol.

  • They work very hard, they do.

  • I like the visuals. Editing was good too.

You don't really need to tell the viewer that you'll be narrating over visuals. I don't know that the main difference between country and city life could be summed up as "more".

Country definitely has more of different things. Like fields, hay-bale tractor rides, sucking the broken end of a wheat stock and other stereotypical things.

  • Thanks! I didn't really need to do that, no, but i guess I felt a weird compulsion since it's so unlike 95% of the episodes I've done before.

Though the country has more of certain things (space comes to mind), I'd argue the city has more MORE. Er...to be a little more articulate, I'd say that the city has a greater amount of a greater variety of things.

I reckon there's a reason the city is never referred to as "the simple life" eh?

  • I Live In The Biggest City I Know

    New York City!

It's Great, but I Realize That Living In a Place Like NYC You Don't Really Appreciate The Vast Wonders of City Life.

It Just Becomes a Mundane Part of Everyday Life & Pass by it Like it's Nothing at All.

It's True That There are So Many Things To Do Within A City That You're Never Satisfied With One Finding & You Want To See/Do It All.

Living in A City Isn't bad At All But Sometimes You Just Want To Get Away For A While.

    Great Video As Always :D

  • I'm impressed how you carry your NYC accent through text by Capitalising Every Word.

  • Me too!

Thanks again for watching and providing nice, wordy comments.

It's true, too, that familiarity breeds disinterest and a knack for taking things for granted. The first time I lived in a city it took my about a month to go from "Wow, all these cool music festivals!" to "OH MY GOD I AM TRYING TO SLEEP, GUYS. LESS CULTURE PLEASE".

  • Great, Oliver. Now all of the "Related Videos" are about the naked cowboy (or naked cowboys, as the case may be).

  • This "pleases" me!
