I'd say, if greyknights see the daemon prince as a preferred daemon, then it must be a daemon. Only models in tactical dreadnought armour and daemons can deep strike by personal icons. If the daemon prince is preferred, then he must be daemon. He shouldn't be preferred, but not a daemon at the same time, that's just not fair.

bolt of change is good if you're attacking transport, because you can assault the unit inside the transport you just blew up, so you approch the rhino, bolt of change in the face, destroy it, assault the poeple inside with warptime.

@Tonyhack11 sort of, there aren't any ranged weapons he can get but there are 5 spells you can give him that are used in the shootin phase, doombolt(3 shot inferno bolts), gift of chaos (6" attack that can turn enemy model into a spawn), wind of chaos(really strong flamer), lash(movie enemies), and bolt of change(assualt multi-melta)

@THESLINGSHOT100 Tbh with you, the only army that really excels without breaking from their genre is Khorne, otherwise ! god armies tend to less due to not being synchronised with each other, but going tzeentch could be fun, you should probably consider playing straight daemons, I heard that some of their tzeentch stuff is off the chain good

@THESLINGSHOT100 If you are trying to keep it some what true to the Warhammer universe, that wouldnt work. In a match, it would probably work pretty well. Otherwise, as far as the books go, Slaanesh and Tzeench get along with each other, and both despise Khorn and Nurgle.

I play Chaos Daemons...not Chaos Space Marines....And thier Daemon Prince is amazing...They can have generally the same upgrades and there are some point differences but other than that I'd say the Chaos Daemons Daemon Prine is so much better...more customisable and best of all THEY ARE HEAVY SUPPORT! :D

Yesterday I played against a daemon prince... He had wings, 3+ save and this 2d6 moving power... The powers and the model are really cool, but the save does still suck!

As it says in the codex but I think that faithful imperials go to the higher realm that the emperor exists in. (That said I have no cannon proof of this but it is referred to numerous times in novels/codexes but no pure unequivocal statement of this)

1) The Dark Prince, Slaanesh, is a faggot.

2) Khorne, Tzeentch and Nurgle pwn his ass.

3) Buy the Codex.

4 ) Google search before asking things.

5) Try Lexicanum if you want any fluff.

if anyones interested, i always take a daemon prince with winngs, mark of tzeench, warptime and winds of chaos. warptime up, fly over to a squad of marines or sumthing, winds of chaos them (re-rolling all fails to wound, and ignoring armour saves, hehehe) charge the stragglers. its very, very evil and always pissed of my old friends... :D
