i think pacquiao still has too many fundamental flaws to beat mayweather. not saying it's a good chance, but pacquiao has had trouble with counterpunchers and straight shots, and maywaether is excellent at tying up and slowing pace, something his previous 5 opponents can't say.

On pacquiao's side i worry about his balance coz i seen him get off balanced when he counter specialy in the middle of the ring and Floyd is a great counter puncher he may take advantage on that. Floyd is great in fighting at distance he knows how to use the distance well he knows exactly when to punch and his timing is great. I havent seen floyd fight toe to toe in the rope as much so i know that hes not comportable trading punches on the side of the ring i think thats his weakness.
I know Floyd jr has never been knocked out b4 but the problem is no1 knows if he really has the chin or not because he has never been dominated b4 and hit a lot on the chin. But for my point of view, if pac can keep floyd on the rope and throw punches in different angle body head side ribs somehow i get the feeling that Floyd may not be able to block all 5 to 6 combos atleast 3 2 will land. I do respect both men, very much. as far as the JMM fight goes, i cant totally discount that, b/c compubox stats show that FMW did practically the same to other fighters. ODH threw 106 more punches, yet Floyd landed 85 more. Ricky Hatton threw a ton more but was also badly outlanded. Same with the fast southpaw Judah. So higher or lower weight, JMM just faced a better man. We'll see if he's better than Pacquiao though. that's a totally different story.

i think pacquiao still has too many fundamental flaws to beat mayweather. not saying it's a good chance, but pacquiao has had trouble with counterpunchers and straight shots, and maywaether is excellent at tying up and slowing pace, something his previous 5 opponents can't say.

On pacquiao's side i worry about his balance coz i seen him get off balanced when he counter specialy in the middle of the ring and Floyd is a great counter puncher he may take advantage on that. Floyd is great in fighting at distance he knows how to use the distance well he knows exactly when to punch and his timing is great. I havent seen floyd fight toe to toe in the rope as much so i know that hes not comportable trading punches on the side of the ring i think thats his weakness.

I know Floyd jr has never been knocked out b4 but the problem is no1 knows if he really has the chin or not because he has never been dominated b4 and hit a lot on the chin. But for my point of view, if pac can keep floyd on the rope and throw punches in different angle body head side ribs somehow i get the feeling that Floyd may not be able to block all 5 to 6 combos atleast 3 2 will land. That's a problem for floyd coz i know that Manny has power on both hands he has proven it.

To be honest this fight is also a 50 50 for me in my opinion i'd say Floyd would dominate pac in the middle of the ring because of his great defence and counters but when i saw Floyds fight agisnt zab and castillo i am convinced that pac can hit him by putting him against the rope.

Manny is following Nevada State Commission Rules on drug testing. So if Mayweather wants blood testing 24 hour before the fight take it up with the Nevada State Commission, so that every fighter that fights in Nevada is made to do so.

really i have a 500$ bet for floyd. reason being we have seen this before big puncher vs skilled boxer. leonard hearns hagler vs leonard tyson vs douglas and yes douglas was a very skiled boxer de la hoya vs trinidad chavez vs whitaker. pacman has no tricks just the same punch combonation and a lot of pressure once he cant capitalize on what he knows he will then be picked apart by mayweather ring intellect. it takes more then a punch to knock out mayweather .may it be a great fight.

if u really feel that you dont know boxing. Mayweather cleaned out a few divisions before he got to welterweight and that can't be discounted. Genaro Hernandez, Corrales (RIP), Jesus Chavez, Baldomir (a lineal champion), Zab...Remember, based on fundamentals alone, Mayweather was already up there categorically. P4P is as much about fundamentals as it is resume. The term P4P was made to describe SRR, and a skill level that transcends any era. Mayweather has that.

besides, Pacquiao wasn't mentioned in that breath until he beat two men that Mayweather had already defeated, so you cant yell one mans name and not the other. When Mayweather retired, Cotto had just become a welterweight, Margarito had not established himself on that level, Paul Williams was unheard of, and Mosley was at 154, so honestly, who did he duck. those are just facts.

before arguing here you should convince mayweather to sign the contract coz he's doing all posible excuses to escape from the march 13 fight .... its 3 weeks now so why they dont know the real venue of the fight 2 weeks ago they said its either MGM or TEXAS but until now its not official because of mayweathers demands and excuses

The venue has been decided, my man. Las Vegas' MGM GRAND will host the fight. Secondly, Mayweather hasn't held up negotiations. The official fight announcement will take place in Los Angeles the somewhere within the first few days of January.

trust me, im as big of a MP fan as you are. I do respect both men, very much. as far as the JMM fight goes, i cant totally discount that, b/c compubox stats show that FMW did practically the same to other fighters. ODH threw 106 more punches, yet Floyd landed 85 more. Ricky Hatton threw a ton more but was also badly outlanded. Same with the fast southpaw Judah. So higher or lower weight, JMM just faced a better man. We'll see if he's better than Pacquiao though. that's a totally different story.

That's an ez 1 to answer, my man. Think of it this way. P4P is quantified by more than resume. Right now, MP has the resume, but his fundamental skill level leaves a few questions. FMW has a decent resume but has the fundamental skills to support his claim. 2 defeat MP is 1 thing, but 2 KO arguably one of (if not thee) best fighter ever, that would show me he has that rare gift to elevate higher on the big stage. Few have hurt MP. A KO of him would be an ultimate performance.

I only spoke of Mayweathers chances of knocking him out b/c the question was asked about Mayweather. go back and listen to that clip, you'll understand. I think there's a common knowledge that Pacquiao can knock him out, but NO ONE EXPECTS MAYWEATHER TO KO HIM. That's why the Mayweather KO is a great topic among fans. It's far less likely.

the analysis is very good. it's hard to pick a winner. i think it's 50/50. best defense vs best offense. but it's hard it's hard to get floyd on the top 5 greats of all time simply because of talent. 10-0 with 10 being the highest, i'll give floyd a 10 while packy with a 7, but courage has to be measured also and pac would have 10 while money a 6. unless floyd faces mosley, margarito or cotto, manny will be ranked above him because of courage alone. talent untested is speculation.

i respect that, but i've seen all the greats via video footage and studied them. God rest their souls but i can honestly say that Mayweather's ring intelligence rivals every last 1 of them. people have no idea how gifted this dude really is. Pacquiao has the resume but not the fundamentals. FMW has the fundamentals in abundance, but a resume that still needs improvement. I think what he has done to date is actually good enough for the HOF, but he needs some more big names to solidify a top spot.
