Good voise but you don't need to hide behind the mic! You can hold it with one hand at times and use the other for emoting... you look tence and have a death grip on the mic here :-) Sorry, that just caught my attention... good luck!

It's funny...I just sang this song at my father's wedding a few weeks ago, and I had a couple people tell me I sound like Jodi Benson (Ariel)too. Never EVER stop singing.You have a superfantasmarificous voice and you will definitely be successful. Shoot for the stars and you will go to infinity and far beyond...I just know it :))))))
PS. I'm glad you didn't belt. It would have taken away from the beautiful emotions you put into the song.
One thing you have to watch though is your chin going up on those higher notes. It produces unnecessary tension in the vocal chords, which causes them to vibrate incorrectly.
one point i'd like to make is that it is very important that you get enough breathe before long phrases. you were running out of air several of the "nothing would ever be the same" parts so "same" was tight in your throat and not as flowing as the rest of the phrase. i love your voice. i wish you all the best of luck.
This one makes me cry every time. The echo gives it a dreamy quality which is perfect for this song. I know it's from J & H but you sound like Ariel sitting at the bottom of the ocean singing this. And you look so beautiful! I guess I just like the happy songs best. A typical mom.

It's obvious she has control over her voice. I am going to come to Roswell's defense though, because she is only stating her opinion. She did after all say that the singer has a beautiful voice. I can agree with that for sure. It's all a matter of comfort in your vocals. If she feels more comfortable not taking the belting rout then she made the right choice for her voice. It's just not what most people that have heard this song before, would expect. Good luck Amy!

to be fair, this song was written for Linda Eder. There is no comparison. One can't compare the original to anything after. That said, "belt" is not good, "not belted" is not bad. Musicality is what we are after. It is either sung with musicality or not, with passion or not. I feel her crescendo was lacking however.
Of course there's several ways to sing a song ;-) Like I said above, absolutely Beautiful, beautiful voice! But when you go from hearing someone as powerful as Sexton and Eder sing this song and then you . . . Well, for me, it leaves a bit to be desired. When I tune in to hear someone sing this song, what I'm waiting for is to hear how well someone sings the ending. And then, when that ending isn't belted, it's a bit of a disappointment (for me personally).
Beautiful voice, but it completely lacks the strength for this particular song. It's meant to be BELTED! Her voice is wonderful, but NOT suited for this song.
