@ilaja15695 You have a point which i observed when i tired to sing and post it .But one cannot match he deep and razer sharp voice with very high and frequency when others and come u with about half of that pitch.Good luck to her and i dont care if she makes mistake.When singers reach their summit they try to improvise and it may look not perfect but if that go with the tune and flow who cares for if and but other than fault finders and not music lovers.

@vjpillay Music has svaram and layam, accepted. But songs donot have only svaram and layam, but have lipi too, i.e, the lyrics. Remember, if you ar just a music lover, love it. But do not comment on someone who wish to have a whole complete song. Her pitch is good, indeed that voice is too tough to get that in thaivatham and nishadham. But, the song would have been better, if it was correct. Hope, I was not hard in my reply!

recently i heard few keerthanas of this exemplary singer. most of the keerthana is really very very good but for pronouncing dana for dhana, shambo for shambho  buvilo for bhuvilo etc, this is commom wrong pronounciation which makes the meaning different or no meaning. till now somebody must have informed her for correction .i request the person whwo is incharge of her singing to kindly look into.

Pronunction makes a lot of difference.

Great voice but its the difference between MS and the rest of the retinue.MS understood and spelled correctly every word she sang.By doing like what MS did,you will retain the meaning of the word and then you dont offend native speakers of the language you are singing.

I am also talking about tyagaraja kritis etc.

You simply cannot mumble something and say that its a song!

@vjpillay It should be Nithantha Anantha. She is a great singer and does great justice to the rendition of raaga here. But I have to agree that use of "BO" does not evoke the same gambheeratvam as does "BHO". "bava sagara" instaed of "bhava sagaraga". Use of "Sambo" for "Shambho" does something not very good to the mood of the song. This item "bho shambho" resonates with your heart if done right. She has to pay attention to that.

@natyacritique .I dont look for mistakes  for the sake of finding fault.But the meaning get lost if there are obvious fault specially when i try musleft ot sing and post it to you tube.Bho and bo or for that matter shambo and sambo also can be ingnored but not obvious mistakes like which disort the meaning of the song.

@natyacritique Absolutely. Amazing to note some one mentioning this as equaling Santhanam's. The 'Bo' and 'Sambo', especially at the very start, are very annoying. Mistakes that you might expect from lesser known singers but not from some one with her status and reputation. sarva digambara 'mestitha resa'? vestitha vesha, I believe. No bhakthi here, just revathi raga at perhaps too high a sruthi for her.

@aarpeem :-) yes saw the comparison as well. Nityashree comes from a family that is steeped in music & has stalwarts like Pattamal amma. She has a unique voice like someone else wrote. She just does not do justice2 this song & that is a fact. Its jarring 2 hear when pronunciation is wrong. Attention to Sahityam is as important as is the voice. @vjpillay no compromise while criticizing the art, while I agree NM is undoubtedly a talented singer, pronunciation in this performance can be better. We should not be comparing to the famed singers, should rather be compared to the actuals :) dont feel bad, but 0:28 to 0:34 is sounding really loose.

i could not help comapring the performance of king of cricketing spin,Murai and that of Nithyasree's performance here. Both twist their faces and strain their eyes so much so when performing while off it they are beautiful people indeed.It goes to show their dedication and passion .

For anyone who is attuned the music of the language, "bo" instead of "bho" or "Ganagadara" instead of 'Gangadhara" can be very jarring.

She has to develop a better appreciation for the difference between alpaprANa and mahaprANa.

but one small thing the diction of 'shambo' is not consistent and not in line with the normal 'Shambo' diction.

I like some of her sangatis in the pallavi, really showing off revati raga.......however I have heard Santhanam sing this song live, and whilst a very worthy interpretation - Santhanam's is just so awe-inspiring, his bhava and ability to use the raga to communicate the lyrics is second to none..but then I suppose he has an unfair advantage because Swami Dayananda Saraswati gave Santhanam the lyrics and Santhanam composed the music for this song....
