  • 80 MPH wind test suggestion, head out to I-10 at night and have someone else drive!

  • @DeltaPDesign hah, that's an excellent suggestion!

  • Yeah that's a bummer if they were discontinued they are pretty neat.

  • why were they discountinued i want one

  • Bruton lighers were discontinued along with all camping gear.

  • Also- another CON of this lighter- the little switch/lever that adjusts the flame falls out. It's not held in place!

And you mentioned you want the lid attached to the body. Put a small piece of cord connecting from the lanyard hole to one of the holes in the clip!

  • I have this lighter and bought it for $25. I really hesitated to pay that much. You mention $40 is a good price for that. NO WAY! $25 was too much. Look at what it is. This should be $10 tops.

  • I can't believe how many of you didn't see him light it! He even held the lid behind it to show the blue flame!! Pay close attention!!!! Nice video captain!!!!

  • @grendelhp hah thanks, I think most people complain before they finish watching. thanks for watching!

  • @grendelhp but a awful short time for a lighter review.

i also disagree that a 1y warranty is good for something this pricey. i would liked at least 2-3 years warranty. Zippo comes with a life-time warranty (accept on the parts that are EASILY and CHEAP to replace). in general i appreciate the review.

it's fairly good, but disagree with one statement and we all would like to see him "play with fire" some more.

  • i'd like to get one, but, where and how much?

    Thanks!

  • This video is shit. You don't even light the lighter.

  • shut up and light it already gees!

  • Thanks for the review, but man I can't believe you didn't show light it for us. I would have liked to see the flame it produced, since that is what it is for.

  • want one..would have no use for it but want it xD

  • A good review but would have been a whole lot better if we could see the FLAME!!

  • All I want to see is the lighter's flame. I don't want to listen to you talk for 10 minutes.

  • Great review. Thanks very much. Helped lots with my purchase decision.

  • where did you buy that brunton lighter??

  • Hook some cord to the cap then run it and tie to the top of the clip. Oo Think I will pick one up.

  • Hey, i got one last year and it started getting stuck on after the first month and eventualy it go stuck on permanently and melted(which is very dangerous). Im a smoker and use it about 20-30 times a day. Word of advice get a chinese lighter its a lot cheaper but costs 10% of the price, Nice review though :))

  • And great for lighting up some salvia... LOL!

  • deceiving little bastard lighter...T_T...i thought it was all metal at first which was why i was going to but it, now that i know its plastic ill stick with my zippo

  • Something tells me you probably shouldn't be starting roaring fires in 80 mph winds.... just saying :)

  • My dad has that but its metal

  • There is no way that is 1.8" in diameter....

  • if you want a metal one you might be able to get a custom one or something, call the company and figure something out i guess

  • For the smokers:

30,000 ignitions is 150 cartons of cigarettes - so, 3 or 4 years depending on how much you smoke.

  • What is its performance like at 10 or 20 degrees (or more) below freezing. I've found a butane flame wont last (even when arpit warmed) which the reason I maintain a match supply.

  • its a lighter, so just fucking light it. thats all we wanna see

  • I wonder what the Rotring pen people think of the red o=ring and black colour choice.

  • looks like a damn good lighter , $60 is okay as long as the quality is there and has a big fuel tank , but i prefer clear fuel tank so i can see how much butane is remaining ,looks like one of those little flashlights , i would consider buying it if you LIT the thing up ?

  • camping in the mud XD

  • Too large, too expensive, and too slow to be any good.Besides, how many idiots are outside smoking while the wind is howling @ 80 MPH???????????????

  • @sallymaggiespotty What's so idiotic smoking a cancer stick sat in a TR6 without the canopy?

  • It's frightening to think that some idiot might get one of these and then go out on an 80-mph-wind day and see if it works......

  • officer Homer :)))

  • i love my windmil delta

  • 6k is hi? SHIT thats nothing

  • sneeze on it ! haha at least it would test high wind gust sustainability

  • Are you kidding???? How do you consider this a review if you never show the lighter LIT????

  • Great job-good vid!

  • Just attach the top to the clip, Duh!

  • 2nd part of my question (first one went over 500 letters):

I'm not a smoker so I don't know how long a Bic lighter lasts and I'm wondering if you need to refill the lighter after a few uses during camping, therefore the need to carry spare butane.

  • Great questions, but I honestly couldn't tell you any scientific measurement. I can tell you that with light use (ie maybe just for starting camp fires) you will get lots of use out of this before it needs a refill. I would say you could light a hundred campfires before needing a refill? This is only a guess, but the I keep in the car does not get refilled very often. Unless of course you end up wasting a lot of gas at really high elevation trying to get it to ignite. Which I've done.

  • Great Review!

Don't really know how it could be measured, but about how long does the lighter last with a full tank of butane before the reservoir is empty?

Flashlights are rated on continuous hours ON. Is there some kind of flow rate of say... highest flame setting for "x" amount of time will burn "x" amount of butane fuel.

  • put the cap on the clip

  • 5 star review (which is becoming your batting average.) Would have been nice if you had submerged it for a working waterproof/tight test.

  • Can you share what brand of fuel you use? I have one that is not lighting.

  • I almost purchased this lighter from Amazon but it had a good amount of bad reviews on it so I didn't but after seeing this review I will have to reconsider.

  • How does it work if it gets cold say -30f . good reveiw. jagermeister

  • Nice Review !

    5 stars

  • Nice review. You probably could attach a little cord from the cap to the top hole in the pocket clip? That might prevent loss.

  • oh and that Colibri is a collector now. They went out of business

  • as you show us, stormproff but not altitude proof

    5/5

    A+

  • Great comments. Thanks for posting this video review.

  • I didn't think it was possible to talk about a lighter for 10 minutes... now I know better. Interesting!

  • The pricing isn't bad, but way too bulky. They should have gone with a flatter design.

  • they make a flatter one, but I preferred this design. It's definitely bulkier though!
