We all used to think that but if you think about it, the BB is only being pushed out of the barrel by the first tenth or so of the piston stroke, so the difference between dry firing and shooting .20s is almost nothing. This is particularly negligible if you have a felt mod on the piston head or you are using one of the quiet piston heads from systema or something. Pot metal gearboxes will crack from dry fire but that aside, no one with decent internals should really worry about it.

my echo1 m4 has broke before becuase i dryfired it so i got a new gearbox and my motor cant keep up with the new version gearbox so im gnna give it to my friend and hes gnna get a high torque motor for it

It broke specifically because you dry fired it? Not because it's a cheaper gun with potmetal internals or you stuck an m130 in there with a plastic piston head, but because you dry fired it? No. If you look at the compression rates in the cylinder you will see that about 90% of the piston's motion in the cylinder is dry firing and that adding BBs to the chamber makes almost no difference, get some decent internals, dry firing is almost the same as normal fire.

well i just realized that this is one of the older echo1s with. the gun was about 3 or 4 years old wen it broke. so maybe becuase its old and becuase maybe that the internals back then were a lil different.

as far as i no they do but i cant remember if marui is that one that has that little notch where the mag seats into the gun if it is marui it might not work because of that?

o yea it will fit just fine i have had problems with my echo hi cap for mine but you just have to make sure the mag is seated correctly for it to feed just put a lot of pressure on it when you insert the mag and then tug it and if it comes out push it in hard again and then force mag release forward to lock it in
