  • I used to be a bird watcher.. until I took a SParrow to the knee

  • I went to the Butchart gardens and we encountered a hummingbird just like that, it was beautiful watching it but then it was scared away by the mass of people. But i still got a video :D

  • its all fun and games until you notice the bird looking back at you with binoculars

  • Very busy hummingbird feeder. This video is priceless!

  • Great shots!

When I've watched hummingbirds in the garden they chase each other away - they won't drink together from the same feeder like these are.

  • Dude you got an allens humming bird

  • Awesome

  • What a FANTASTIC video, love the quality.

  • Wonderful video. Best bird film on YouTube!

  • This is really Impressive! love it!

  • dey r cute..

  • Verrrrry nice! Your hummingbirds seem a little more mellow than the ones around my house. Very pretty and different species also. Great job filming! :-)

  • This is great wonderful job flimming ...

  • My birds never share a feeder---they are sooo territorial

  • amazing footage..I have never seen Hummingbirds up close like that:)

  • Great video. Nice job.

  • Conservation Chestnut Bellied Hummingbird (Amazilia castaneiventris)

  • wonderful! looks like a cartoon movie production, but it's more delightful since it is real! thanks!

  • If you love bird watching you should see some of my videos

  • This is really nice!

  • I was letting my cat watch this. She got all crouched and ready to attack! XD

  • very tretty birds and thanks for the posting this beautiful hummingbirds video!!

  • Thanks so much for posting this. I miss my hummingbirds over the winter. Mine never want to eat together at the same feeder, though. They are always fighting. Must be married!!!

  • Hehe, pretty cool.... great vid quality and a neat idea. Hummers are really cool to watch up close and will usually tolerate observers if you stand still long enough. This clip replicates the experience nicely, and thanks to your bluetooth trick--awesome sound. Thanks for posting!

  • Excellent! One of the best on Youtube.

  • cool vid! I've never seen a hummingbird like the orange one with the red throat before! We have ones that are very dark in color and ones that are like an emerald green with very shiny feathers here in Illinois. We just love to watch them. Even our dogs stay very still and quiet so they can see them up close.

  • EXTREEEEMME!

  • hummingbirds sing 80 notes per second

  • @tazrockslikecool456 I wanna schuk the necter outta ya ;)

  • u know wat makes hummingbirds so special their wings omg they just flip anf flop so fast and just fly in just a single spot.

  • @frankiesmash anfeaters r my fav amimalls

  • great footage

  • i eat birds like that for lunch

  • What a great video! And for sure the extra effort to get the sound was worth it. Thanks.

  • heh heh my kitty's watchin it.. heh heh

  • Yes, great video and it was a great idea to put that mic in there so now we can hear those little birds achieving supersonic speeds with their wings :)

  • that's a great hummingbird video one of the best i've seen

  • Outstanding video. I am in the middle of migration here in Iowa. I expect to see them for another week before temps in the 40's drive them farther south. With six feeders, and many many cardinal flowers blooming, it is a rest stop for the past 5 years now, and becoming more popular. But not quite as active as yours.

  • splendid views!

  • Nice :D

  • hi! i have some questions for you birders out there and i'm really hoping that you'll help me out!

    1. what is it about birding that excites you?

    2. do you stay in the same spot for hours or move around?

    3. in your opinion, what would be the ideal observation tower for your activities?

thanks so much in advance for your help! really hoping that you ppl will help me out here. thanks again =)

  • the best hummingbird video i have seen . . . thanks JVCdude. also wats the name of the backing tune, im keen for it on my ipod, thanks again

  • It's called .the beat.. It's one of Cindy's originals. If you want it, send us your email and I'll have Cindy send you the mp3 file.

  • Thanks man, I haven't been able to get it out of my head! Unfortunatly I can't give you my e-mail because i am very cyber concious and my computer programming bestie Jeremy told me of some bad cyber viruses, but thanks anyway and keep the video's coming!!

  • THIS IS AWESOME JOE AND CINDY DEAR FRIENDS!!! 5 stars...

Gloria shot some fabulous footage of hummingbirds recently...

Speak to you soon. Mike & Gloria

  • you are a very sick and demented individual

  • For that comment, may your nuts become cubes and fester on the corners and may the fleas of a thousand camels infest you armpits and crotch.

  • That was really cool.

I just visited Best Friends animal sanctuary in Utah, and seeing all the little Humming birds there that they feed inspired me to to feed at my home back in MS. I did alot of research before I started doing it, and I did everything to make the chances better of the Hummingbirds to find my feeders, well, they found them in 4 days and my backyard is covered up with them now. I love them they are so cute!

  • I love hummingbirds! I am considering about moving to South America so I can see more hummingbirds all year round!

  • i had a black cat that must of killed 12 humming birds one spring/summer.. he was quick yes and was a pro at hunting.. coolest cat ever, had to put him down because he was attacking everything, mainly my hand lol but no more hummingbirds for him!!! hard to believe he caught humming birds i know, but he also caught a crow which is almost impossible.. i love hummingbirds so amazing, they can fly backwards at the same speed as forward supposedly..

  • Put down a cat because it was acting like a cat? You're a POS - I'd rather see you "put down"....

  • i find that the best method for watching birds is from below using a parascope. the resolution is unmatched and makes for a truly beautiful viewing experience, what are your thoughts?

  • Great video. Thanks for sharing. You might want to see me feeding one by mouth.

  • Aw! How cute! My mom and I love hummingbirds.

  • Really delightful creatures! Thanks for making such a lovely video and share it with everyone.

  • that is really wonderful! Great video and clever way to get it too!

  • The background music sounds like it would be in a golf videogame or something.

  • One of Gods wonderful creations, How can anyone not believe God Never created the earth and Nature just look ariound you, there's so much evidence it is so. How could have anything come abouj, as just a result, of rocks crahing into space. If it was Evelution, why?, have we suddenly stopped/?. and which came first?, the chicken, or the egg.?, thanks for sharing such a beautiful video. LOve and Peace to everyone. From uk.

  • Evolution has not stopped it's just that it's imperceptably slow in natural conditions. If you want to observe it in unnatural conditions then look to pigeon, chicken, dog breeders etc.

Evolution explains perfectly why the world is beautiful and doesn't require a mythical "God" .

What about the fly that burrows into childrens eyes and blinds them, is that God's beautiful creature as well?

What about the malaria carrying mosquito, God's creature?

Nature can be cruel but there is no God.

  • a hummingbird is not indicative of god.

nor is it indicative that god doesn't exist.

  • Fight H.B. 669!

  • cool! I love that you got the hummingbird sounds but in an non-invasive way. Sad that some people can't see how amazing this is. I agree with avantyawn, be cautious with the music- the focus should be on the sound of the wings.

  • WTF IS SO EXTREME ABOUT THIS?

  • I think it's the music in the background.

  • excellent video

    i love the birds

  • Awesome job. The music is cool but I would like to see the same video with no music just to hear the pure bird noises. Bravo.

  • Sorry Avantyawn I pressed the thumbs-down by mistake insstead of thumbs up! You should have a score of three now really.

I agree with you that it is a great video, but a pity the music spoils the bird sounds.

  • Great video!

  • This is a fantastic video!! Thank you for sharing.

  • :-) Never gets old!!

  • good view

  • Outstanding footage and a really clever idea with the bluetooth mike!:)
