  • @DJCandyManMike

The failure is self-explanatory. You're even less amusing than Archie Campbell. Don't give up your day job. If you have one, that is.....

Youtube is all about free speech. So no, I won't shut my mouth. Your attempt at a spoonerism of your own was lame. There's your failure explained. Randomly swapping a few letters doesn't automatically make you funny. In your case, it just made you look like a twat.....

  • @npeg76

Only in the eyes of a lemon. I have as much right to attempt a little wit of my own as you have to troll - you said yourself that youtube is all about free speech. Since you view Archie Campbell to be unamusing, you shouldn't have even been watching. Consider yourself blocked from this point on.

  • @DJCandyManMike

Wit is best left to the experts.....

  • @npeg76

As is defining what it means to be an expert. And trolling.

  • When I heard this the first time, I laughed until I cried!!

I am proud we are part of the same ancestry!

    Glenna

  • @MamawsOpinions

That was my reaction as well. I heard this live the first time I heard it, and it's made me want to look up Archie Campbell's other segments.

  • @DJCandyManMike

Archie's mother and my grandmother were cousins. They were from Bulls Gap and my grandmother was from Mosheim, down the road apiece. I was just born too late, I would have loved growing up there, at the old home place.

  • @MamawsOpinions

That would have been awesome! I'm sorry you didn't get the opportunity.

  • for years we have slopped our dripper and fidnt dit, now I know where it came from Fantastic

  • I love it.

  • I first heard this mory with a storal at a pive lerformance nearly yoo tears ago. They were doing a Hee Haw show of their own, and lell in fove with this act bum the freginning!

  • my friend can say this whole story :P

  • Only an American could totally destroy this sketch. Just not funny. The Brits do it much better. Especially Ronnie Barker.....

  • @npeg76 didn't hew haw do this first?

  • how did Roy Clark control himself?

  • @gaz52 he's saying sad bisters so in English he's saying bad sisters....... I love this story my gma used to tell it to my fam on thanxgiving lol

  • My sister's favorite story.

  • This is funny?

  • I love this story! It has become part of my stories that I teel my kids!

  • What is he saying when he says "sad blisters"?

  • @gaz52 assface, you just switch the words first letters around "bad sister". Voila , the "technique"

  • Yes, this is great but my favorite is "Pee Thrittle Ligs."

  • I'm watching this for about the 4th time today ... and I've passed it on to a bunch of people. Thanks for posting! Heee Haw! lol

  • How did they get through this (1) without laughing and (2) without seriously messing up the lines? Wow.

  • "she slopped her dripper" - I just BURST out laughing!

  • somone has just skyped me to say iLg has gone bust. Is this true?

  • My version doesn't compare but it's a fun story isn't it?!?!

  • ha i went to washington dc and every night we were there our bus driver told us this story we loved it!!!!!!! :)

  • one of my moronic friends named leil nathem tells this all the time. i wish it would make him go to sleep.

  • OMG I have been looking for these!!! Thank you thank you thank you!!

  • I wonder which one was first - Ronnie Barker or these guys. At least Ronnie's was R-rated.

  • This is who I have to blame for my father switching his words!! He does this ALL the time!

  • comedy gold!!!

  • A method invented by a Reverend Spooner, called spoonerism.

  • can someone tell me where i can find the one that Wayne Flemming did?

  • Oh I get it...

    ''slop yer dripper'',,,

    PRICELESS

  • You bet it is!!!

  • Can anyone tell me what Archie Campbell routine i am looking for?

I think he did it on hee-haw. It is one where he whistles every time he says a work that begins with an "S" sound. I though it was Rindercella but I found that on youtube and it was not.

  • This is so CLASSIC!Nonsense gauranTEED to make a young person crack up in his wheaties!!!

  • We watch Hee Haw every Sunday night at 8:00 on RFDTV.

"..don't forget to slop your dripper!"

  • like deloufu said, no one can pull it off like Archie Campbell...his is an absolute classic. I just love it!! xxx

  • Only Archie Campbell can pull this one off & still keep you laughing. After all & I think we all can agree on this it's PRICELESS & ALSO A CLASSIC. Does everybody agree?

  • I have memorized this story. I have this on video and DVD. Just too funny!!!!

  • I remember my neighbours having this on 7 inch vinyl.

  • That's great it made me laugh. Thank-you.

  • Lol I reemember this story from my math class in 8th grade..

  • This is so funny!!!!!

  • this is soo funny!

  • "...Little Bulimer, the 5 year-old?"

I am naming my next kid Bulimer whether it is a boy or a girl.

  • i would never be able to do this on tv without laughing the entire time

  • HEY! Does anyone know where I could get the words for this story? I want a copy!

  • How many takes do you suppose they had to do for Roy to be able to get through it with out cracking up?

  • Dang I forgot to slop my dripper!!!

  • PRICELESS!!!

  • Yeah, I remember this from when I was a kid. Campbell also did Loldigocks and the Bee Threars, as well as the Pee Little Thrigs, and others. But all of these routines were heavily borrowed from a comedian named Colonel Stoopnagle on an old radio show in the 1930's, "Stoopnagle and Budd".

  • the real genius was ronnie barker , who did this first on the bbc in the early seventies. he did afar riskier version, which was delivered so perfectly on prime time tv that iit did not receive 1 single complaint. example of riskines. the prandsome hince had a buge hig fard on. and called the sugly isters mairy hinge and betty swollocks, and rindercella was happy at the end because she ended up with a follen swanny.

  • If Ronnie Barker did this then please prove it. It's a common misconception that Ronnie did this on prime time TV and nobody complained.

Feel free to prove me wrong by posting the video and not just saying "my mum's half cousins hairdressers next door neighbour said she saw it".

  • I laugh 'till I hurt everytime I hear this. XD

  • The great Ronnie Barker first wrote this, although his was a little risky it was far funnier

  • God bless Archie Campbell!

  • That was the best bit in the whole history of Hee Haw.

  • Don't forget to slop your dripper!

  • I loved the Rindercella story when I was younger.

  • TOO FUNNY :)

  • OMG! Was he good or what? Too funny! My hubby loved him on HeeHaw...so talented!

  • can u find beeping sleauty its funny 2

  • That is unbelievable... just no way I could keep my focus through that. I have no idea how he did it.

  • hilarious!

  • I have seen this so many times, I have literally memorized this story. I actually have recited this to my family and friends many times. It's so funny, and my family and friends laugh every time.

  • Archie Campbell was an original- An artist (he painted), a poet, a writer, a lyricist, an actor, a musician (and a good singer, too). He came from Tennessee and carried on that old Western Appalachian tradition of Celtic-American story telling. Simply a vast talent.

  • poor rinder cella slopped her dripper... :(

  • Like most good comedy routines, this was copied from the British. Ronnie Barker did the original - and did it very well.

  • They don't hardly do good comedy like this anymore. Thanks for posting it!

  • Archie did a similar routine based on "The Three Little Pigs," but he called it "Pee Thrittle Ligs." Can you find that and post it? Thank you.
