those cards are AR cards if you look on the 3ds menu go to AR games and put down any card on any floor or tabel and from 14 inches away the 3ds camera will make a magic effect as the card came to life!

the cards are for a game on the device. AR stands for Augmented Reality which is a "live direct or indirect view of a physical real-world environment whose elements are augmented by virtual computer-generated imagery" which basically means you can interact with the world around you through a camera using the screen and controls.

I believe the cards have something to do with the camera and what's on the card will apear to be 3d when u look at it through the 3ds camera
