I Have a DVX100A. I have been looking for a DOF adapter for. I wish I could afford a nice rig but being a low-budget filmmaker I have been trying to sort out all those DIY adapters before I make a decision.
I am interested in what you used to get that look.

Do an eBay search on Tele & Wide Angle adapters (72mm thread on items) you'll find more than a 100 candidates.
I bought both tele & wide for a combined $100, to include shipping (USA).
The WA is a two section unit.
I simply unthread the outer element and use the base unit for my shallow DOF shots. Good lighting helps the results too.
The one that made these shots is a Tokina .5x WA adapter with "High Definition" written as part of the 'name'.
