  • Best progression in history.

    Watch "Pachelbel's Rant"!

  • not all the songs in your video use exact canon progression. some require strong chord inversion and cannot be substituted with original chord.

  • @vjc02s3705 Aye, but this video (and the other one) is just to have fun with songs that are influenced by the Canon progression.

  • @Archangel3583 ok agree.

  • dude... its a chord progression, not a song. and you cannot say a chord structure is similar based on its root

  • @yrahcazwolf Sure I can, it's my video =D

  • anddddddd as i posted this, i didnt watch the second half of the video, but the matchbox 20 song definitely doesnt belong, and the same with a lot of the first half

  • this is stupid, you put in songs that use a completely different progression, just because they use 1 5 6 as the first three chords doesnt mean theyre copying the progression at all. canon goes 1 5 6 3, most of these songs you pointed out never go to the 3 after the 6 they go to the 4 or 5 and canon keeps going after that, 1 5 6 3 4 1 4 5, 8 chord phrases. these are all just 4 <3

  • Chillaaaaaaaaaax :P this wasn't meant as a serious look of music history and theory; just looking at how popular the Canon in D motif is.

  • @Archangel3583 Scatman's World was based off of Canon, good ear ;)

  • hey u forgot Coolio, I'll se you when you get there..

  • hey you figure it out.. Lol.. Nice hearing..

  • ahh..now i know

they already put lyrics to canon

  • That´s true. You have a good hearing.

  • Styx's Paradise Theater could be added to your list.

  • your so right, wow
