The 'scientific facts' in the Quran aren't there. People have gone through the Quran and looked at verses to fit around existing theories. Even if the Quran had scientific facts (the mixing of water verse comes to mind) it still doesn't prove god.

The 'scientific facts' in the Quran aren't there. People have gone through the Quran and looked at verses to fit around existing theories. Even if the Quran had scientific facts (the mixing of water verse comes to mind) it still doesn't prove god.

Look I don't have anything against Islam in particular, I'm skeptical of ALL religions. I'm open to all possibilities but as you stated I need a lot more evidence to believe ANY religion. Anyway I'm not convinced we will change the others opinion so I'll leave it there (you can reply though) and it's been good to discuss this with you.

You need to realise this is just a slogan. There is no quantified data to support this claim. I'm from the UK, and I can tell you that the number of people from the indigenous population who convert to Islam is miniscule. Islam is growing because of uncontrolled immigration and high birth rates amongst Muslims. These people are already Muslims and so are their offspring. This is not the same as actually converting.
