Aretha brings a different flava to this song. She has her unique style of singing (which many have attempted to copy via overdone vocal acrobatics). But I enjoy Gladys' version more because IMO, it is more subtly soulful. That is Gladys' style. Not so "in your face". I think being subtle is more sexy. Plus the string arrangement on Gladys' version is heavenly.

@hawkinman18 This is from that video and there never was anything going on between the 2. Ms. Franklin is a passionate, soulful singer and when in a private setting is known to make a person feel like the words that she sings are words made jus for you
