The only program that has an opinion in what goes on is Texas. They run the conference and other programs are getting out because it's a monopoly.
It doesn't matter when the ball hits the ground, it matters when the REF calls the play dead. The ref did not call the play dead, there for the game was over. That was the rule, up until they CHANGED it after this game.

The issue I have with it is yes, there was 1 second left. However, what about the other 100 plays where a few seconds were melted off? On every single play the refs take a second or two off (due to reaction time). So UT gets 1 second added, but Nebraska doesn't get another 30 seconds worth of time from all the other run-off? Probably wouldn't matter b/c Nebraska's offense sucked, but it's still uneven reffing.
Good grief people... The clock counts backwards not forward. So once the clock hit 1 second, there was not 1 second left... there was LESS than a second left. Sure the clock said 1 second- had they been using a clock that showed milliseconds, they clearly would not have had a second to put back in the clock.

@RikaMX I'm a husker fan and just to let you know, it wasn't the argument that there was 1 second left or not, but the argument that you cannot review a play once the game clock has hit 0:00. the game originally was not stopped with any time left on the clock. yes there was 1 second left, but to this day it is still not been clarified to the public about that rule. win or not the huskers played a hell of a game on defense and thats the tradition.

* Texas finished with a 5-7 record in 2010 going 2-6 in conference games.
* Texas finished the final year of Big XII play alone in LAST place in the South.
* The only game Texas won after beating Nebraska was against Florida A&M.
* Texas lost 6 home games.

I was there I saw it and Nebraska had a first down when they called it out of bounds. The refs gave Texas too many free chances and rarely called any of their penalties. @thejoshuatree99 its not that their blind dipshit. its that the rules in the handbook say that they can't review the play to check for solely time. there has to be another part of the play in dispute which there obviously wasn't because colt didn't throw it to anyone, he just threw it out of bounds so it was clearly an incomplete pass so they shouldn't have been allowed to review it.
