Awesome! Congrats on getting it up and running. I was wondering: what were the initial problems you were having getting it to install? I'm currently trying to do that with a similar hardware configuration, but installation stalls at "Still waiting for root device," so I'm trying to find anybody who had that same problem!
I have a Gigabyte 8400GS 512MB video card and I can't get past the 1024x768 Video Card. During your install did it work right away or did you have to install kexts?
HEy could you help me installing the sound driver? ive got the same Motherboard and CPU like you, i tried it with multibeast but i cant find an option to set the audio out...
what kind of disk do you need?? i got DVD-R disks and they don't work, i tried to put iboot on them and it kept saying error and i use roxio creator DE on my computer, what do i buy to create iso images on the disks, some one help me! i want mac os x on my pc soooooooo Bad! and i don't have that much money, i only have $35.00 in my budget
Do you NEED to have the retail disc?..cuz' I have the ISO which is bigger than normal DVDs..can't I just extract the ISO onto an external HD and boot it through iBoot?
I used the instruction posted here with iboot+multibeast on Gigabyte P55-USB3 (rev2.0). with Nvidia 9500GT. Everything works out of the box using retail 10.6.3 except for the NIC RTL8111E. Updated to 10.6.4 I lost my Audio, so supplement fix for that would be using legacy voodoo 2.1 inside multibeast and using Lnx2mac [RealtekRTL81xx.kext] from the Internet.
hi just wondering if you can help me. i use iboot to install snow leopard. i got pass the part where i select the language the click install. i get a screen saying that you can not install mac o s on this machine. it has a little logo on the left showing my hard drive with a yellow question mark over it. here are my pc parts
EVGA X58 FTW3 Intel X58 3-way SLI LGA1366, gforce 94gt corsair sata 90gb, corsair 4gb memory. how you can help me. thank
How.... This looks hard to do. And above my price range. Do you think you can do it with the new computers with the i7 core inside? If you could help me, thanks. Because all I want to do is buy a computer from the store with the right specs and put snow leopard on there. But if you can help me then yah thanks.
Got a question for you i am using a MSI mobo p55-cd55 with intel i5 750 but i cant get to install like yours. I have to go into safe mode to even begin the installation process. and once it is finish and it restarts i get this black screen with weird grayish blocks. Should i just get a gigaybyte mobo? Also i am using a HSI Radeon HD 4670 1gb ddr3. is there problems with ddr3 video cards?
Should not be a problem. I have not tried it yet. There are some threads about it on the forum. You might want to read those. They have a lot more experience than me.
@U2ForNow Okay. You seem like an honest guy. I'll trust your word on that few moments of frustrating. Maybe I'll give it a try myself. Hope you post the tutorial soon.

I would either take two sticks out or get one more GB of RAM cause you're not using your i7 to its real potential!
Good vid though, I'm working on a hackintosh right now and it helped
