  • jim could do anything even in a tux, to bad the audience would only accept barbara, judy, tallulah etc and he was talented in his own right but rarely able to perform as himself as the personality cults live on just a observation not a condemnation

  • I WANT THAT DRESS!! 2:08

  • why is he not a superstar????

  • Didn't really need the costumes.....so talented and grand enough without them.

Imagine how much time and money you would have saved Jim !

We had the same manager who's since passed away and was from Long Island.

  • watch the clip of him doing Phyllis Diller on here, its amazing you cant tell the 2 apart.

  • He kind of has the same speaking voice as Wayne Newton.

  • this is crazy and freaks me out a little.. but amazing all the same..

  • PLEASE tell me Jim has a DVD out of his best performances. Eagle Rock recently released a compilation of John Denver's concert performances from the 70s to the 80s and they did an excellent job restoring tired video footage of JD.Maybe they could do the same with Jim if he could get the ok for the legal rights to the footage.

  • What is amazing, quite apart from the visuals and acting skills, is the quality of the vocal range....for a man to sing in a woman's range, and with such power, is unbelievable...and very hard!!!

  • He's brilliant. Why he isn't a superstar and household name is beyond me.

  • @blackwhimsy Because he's male and unfortunately our society is more conservative in (some) ways then it was 30 years ago.

  • I'd love to see him dress up as Eunice and stand there next to Carol.

  • God that guy was so lucky, I would love to wear that dress. He's amazing!

  • You're right.

  • come on! the guy is spot on!!! He IS a man after all and he is an impressionist... he isn't the real thing but makes you think he is in most performances...

  • I think jon609 has it just about right! His Judy is pretty much on point and Babs was pretty good but not perfect. He is still an awesome illusionist and showman and he's incredibly entertaining!

  • I'd love to meet him.

  • its strange to see him in a suit

  • "Happening in Central Park goes to Vegas"... since Babs rarely performed back then, this was as good as it got... now watching her DVD's of Central Park and TV specials from then, up to her recent concerts, Jim's impersonation is less accurate but no less entertaining ( Babs would never wear a gown like that nor growl and snarl sing...) but it's great to see this time capsule of memorable TV...

  • he captures her spirit accurately

  • He Was Cute As A Boy Too!

  • My o my . Jim , you are the greatest star

  • Jim's Barbara was spot on!!

  • His Judy was impeccable and uncanny but his Barbra not so much.

  • I disagree, both are inspired, and Phyllis D to boot. My god..!

  • Just great--thanks for posting!!!

  • HOLY SHIT.

    He's absolutely fantastic!

His Judy was amazing, and his Barbra was pretty damn good.

He's past being a good drag queen, he's a real performer.

  • I wonder if Jim has ever been to Australia.

Come and see us,Jim,such amazing talent would be ADORED by us down under.

cheers from a fan in Queensland.

  • I wish that the public could buy this episode of the Carol Burnett show on DVD. If anybody "out there" can help to make this a reality, PLEASE do so!!You can see from all the positive comments that Jim's fantastic performance is appreciated.....

  • i love his judy, spot on

  • Uuuh...holy shit. He makes all other drag queens look awful by comparison.

  • you know what though...he looks like the people he is portraying...unlike drag queens who are men with bad make up and whorish costumes...i'd love to do this!

  • I think Jim is above and beyond "drag", talent is talent in whatever shape or form.....

  • I cant believe this was 36 years ago and Carol put him on TV.... Damn... was this amazing artist a gambol for her and /or the network at the time ?

  • Great!!He captures the personality of Mrs Streisand!!!Bravo!!

  • thank u for posting this!!

  • This wasn't first broadcast in 1972. This is from late '70 or early '71. I know because I recall seeing it.

  • awesome!!!!!

  • could you imagine this awesome-ness on TV in 2007??? I cant!!!!

  • tv became worse

  • oh my goodness! he was a cutie!!!!!

  • This completely made forget my bad day at work!

  • Me too! :) Amazing!

  • This clip is an excellent history lesson on Jim. Exceptional voice and he was so cute!!!

  • ITS THE SAME FOR ME ...UPLIFTING

  • OMG...So friggin HOT! Like, damn. And what an insane talent, like holy shit though. I wish I had been alive in the sixties so I could ravage this man.

  • Um, this is from the Carol Burnett Show which ran during the 70's.

  • Thank you soo much for the dedication. I love you Jim!!!! Hugs, a true fan, William
