  • The law considers this woman a danger to children. Don't believe me? Google it.

  • It's not surprising that we've been at war for 26 of the past 50 years. Some say it's our duty to police the world. I tend to think our behavior is more that of a school yard bully; the biggest kid who gets into a fight every other day, and always insists that he didn't start it. There was one republican who in 1961 told it like it is: Eisenhower.....when he warned of the military-industrial-complex's influence....PS, I'm a veteran and I'm for peace.

  • Did they broke all your china, killed the cats, cut your arm off, etc. etc. --and then gave you candy and asked for a little bit of love?

  • Hilarious comic, however screaming liberal. We have to clean up after ourselves, you know. After all, when could it become pull out of Germany or even the UK? Stand now, and we will be able to endure later.

  • LOL! Good analogy! : )

  • This video should be sent to the White House & every member of Congress while we dispatch an army of Mrs. Bendas as our Ambassadors-at-Large to live in their bathrooms until our troops are brought home. U.S. withdrawal would result within a week.

  • Perfect sense Paula. Leaving people there, be it ten or ten thousand, certainly isn't going home...

  • You GO, Paula! I once heard you talk about gun laws. I am greatly paraphrasing, but you essentially said our Founding Fathers were thinking muskets to shoot turkeys. They took 5 minutes to load and then went BANG! You said "They were not thinking about crazy neighbor Bob owning an Uzi! They were thinking about a musket! Maybe they were wrong! MAYBE... they were wrong!" Where is that stand-up video?? I want to see it again, because YOU are ABSOLUTELY CORRECT!!!!

  • I once heard Paula talk about gun laws, specifically muskets. She said that when our Founding Fathers gave us gun rights, and I am greatly paraphrasing, they were thinking about shooting a turkey with a musket. She said it had to be pounded for 5 minutes to load it, and then it went BANG! She said they were not thinking about "crazy neighbor Bob" owning an Uzi!!! She said "Maybe they were wrong!" Does anyone know where that stand-up video is??? You GO, Paula!!! I'm right there with you!!!

  • I love how there are 2 blobs (the US and Iraq) and then a fabulous accurate neat floorplan is unvieled! That is genius!

  • i love how she drew florida.

  • We (Americans) are all culpable in letting our government get away with such atrocities. I didn't vote for W or his father. He was never my president. I never endorsed any thing he did, said or stood for. He should have been impeached. He should have been jailed and tried in an international court. I don't make excuses for the government.

I just want you to know we aren't all heartless mass murderers.

  • Don't assume that we (Americans) don't care about the thousands and thousands of people dying or being maimed for life. Some of us hate George W. Bush and knew all along he was a monster. War is not healthy for children and other living things. Unfortunately, murderous stupidity is rampant in all governments and in religions as well.

  • Sorry to be frank, but this is a typical american comment. Not taking direct responsibility, dismissing war as something in all countries.

American is the current empire. You have countless invasions, killed countess people. It is not logical to say "oh, other people do it too" when you do it the MOST.

Bring Bush, Kissinger, Rice, Cheney etc. to justice and then Americans will regain any credibility when they talk about other countries killing.

  • You doof, we, as INDIVIDUALS against the war, against killing Iraqis, against invading countries who have done nothing to us, DO NOT have the POWER to fix what Bush has done. It's not that we don't care, but we can't, by ourselves, bring the Bush Administration to justice. So, when you tar everyone here with the same brush, you're not helping your cause in the slightest.

And...Kissinger? I think you lost a few generations of administrations there.

  • a) you still think I have a "cause". In any place where the concept of injustice was internalised (or perhaps just any person) the idea would be to bring these people to justice - not watch me argue my "cause"

    2) Yes, Kissinger. And again, it shows how little regard Americans have for history. If the Nuremburg trials hadn't happened and someone in the '80s had said "shouldn't Nazis be put on trial?" would you say "wow, that's a few generations of administrations back"?

  • Get at litte perspective on what America has done rather than just reacting. And America isn't TRYING to fix what it's done.

  • She never had sex with a minor, get your facts straight.

  • LMAO!!! what was she doing in the bathroom?

  • Oh no, Mrs. Bender!!!!!!!

  • marler, do you even realize what you're saying? The United States annexed California, Texas and Hawaii (many Mexicans today still thinking of the former two as really belonging to their country). That's the only reason the U.S. is still in those places. Now, are you suggesting that the U.S. should have annexed Afghanistan, Cuba and Vietnam, too, after invading those countries and - especially in the case of Vietnam - achieving absolutely nothing there apart from tons of casualites on both sides?

  • and who annexed the new world?

  • Hilarious. She's right. We must cut our losses NOW. We lost this war when we went in under false pretenses. Everyone but us knew it was all about the oil. Look at oil company profits! Now look at what you pay for oil. Only megacorporations have gained. Hundreds of thousands of innocents dead. Multitudes of families fled their motherland. Survivors STILL live in worse fear than under Saddam, especially women and children. Iraq is our worst shame / Bin Laden's best recruiting tool.

  • Good point, but I suggest getting a cameraman with Parkinsons.

  • LMFAO

  • you rock!!

  • She's correct. But I would also like to mention that the idea that we should withdraw our troups from Iraq any time soon, is pure lunacy. Let's learn from the past. Look at countries we have invaded, and then left: Afghanistan, Cuba (in the Spanish American war), Vietnam... All bad off, and hating America, after we came and went. Now consider countries we invaded, and stayed in: California, Hawaii, Texas. Doing relatively well, and there's no longer any talk of us leaving.

  • LOL! I love Paula Poundstone! Thanks for the lesson in common sense, Paula!

  • LOL I get what you're saying and it's right, but I don't think you said it right. If that makes sense haha...

  • DUH!!!!

  • It is true!

  • See you at the Birchmere in April!

  • This is hilarious!!!!!!! I love the analogies!

  • Thanks, Paula. I never expected anyone to just pull all of our troops out, regardless of pledge, but I did not know that they were already admitting to their lies. It's not like pulling most of them out is something to be ashamed of. I think it's kind of their "four legs good, two legs bad" message, for the ADD types.

  • Yeah, Paula....Now if you could just get through to dimson. Just like Vietnam, the occupation in Iraqnam is not meant to be "won." Check out the Bohemian Grove...I'd love to hear your take on it.

  • Her point was that if all the troops don't leave they really have not pulled out.

The idea that we where wanted there is a lie that was abandoned by Bush the minute it no longer served his purposes.

And you think Paula should stay out of politics because the ones there right now have done such a good job?

  • Enjoyable...remember now they don't want you to think when they talk politicsLOL

  • I got what you said Paula, and I agree completely.

However, the troops weren't invited to dinner in the first place... they just arrived and started to do what they were ordered with your family and your house.

  • And of course, since you weren't feeling your best, your friend of course had to stay to make sure you were okay. What kind of friend would just leave when you're feeling so sick?

  • But Paula, your friend stayed behind to help you clean up after her kids made such a mess of your place, helping you with the dishes and of courese her "little angels" spilled juice on your new carpet.

  • I thought that was a very informative video with insight that some of us may have overlooked. It opened my eyes to think of this in a new light! I love you Paula! The video was great!!!

    Mileena

  • I completely agree Paula. That is the one snafu in the Democrats "plans for withdrawal" and it just makes me wonder if all politicians think we are just stupid or what?

Then again, we did vote Bush in..........

Well we just have to hope we can at least get most of our troops home, that's better than the alternative I guess.

  • Hey Paula! I do know that we still have troops in Korea well after M*A*S*H*. A big problem for me is the concept of "winning." There is no winning this war. It only gets bigger and more out of hand. Another thing is having stickers that read "Support the Troops" as if the troops are a separate entity. The troops are our family and friends. Bush should support our troops by at least streightening out the VA.

  • Nice video! So, is this Paula Poundstone's own channel? If so, welcome, Paula, and please post more videos soon.

  • Technically, "first comment" isn't actually a comment. I don't understand why some people get so stoked about being the first person to leave text. To each his own.
