  • A have a high roller and I want to put the traxxas velineon bl systium . Is the diff able to take the bl power stock ?

  • what is the cheapest servo you can get for a 1/18 brushless system?

  • Can you upgrade most cars to brushless?

  • how many amps is that esc

  • if you convert brush motor to brushless do you need to change the esc plz help me thank you

  • @Fadeaway97 if you do you will mess up your esc

  • that guy looks like he races rc cars.

  • how much the transmmission gear and what is the part number? and metric or standar?

  • @slash4x4lipo LOSB3548 and it's $9.99

  • how much the transmmission gear and what is the part number?

  • U think i can take the blitz and right out of the box and put a 3s lipo in it

  • @Xeverything1 No, the Stock ESC is not rated to handle that sort of voltage.

  • how much is it to buy the 1/8 scale system?

  • @TheMethodman301 It all depends on what system you want to go with. we have a large variety on our site.

  • also i was thinking about buying the 1\10 scale version of this truck but i heard the stock transmitter breaks after the first few hours is this true?

  • @TheMuffin134 I have not had any issues myself or heard of any issues like this.

  • @HorizonRCdotCom sorry ment to say transmission

hate to ask so many questions sorry

  • will this work the same way for the 1\36 scale trucks?

  • @TheMuffin134 We actually did a dedicated 1/36-scale brushless conversion video if you check our site.

  • @HorizonRCdotCom ok thank you. by the way i lve my micro highroller! great product!

  • Ok so where does the idler gear go?

  • @Terdy515 The metal one? It replaces the stock plastic on on the HIGHroller.

  • how much for the motor

  • my is just a cheep rc

  • @madmoviemaker1990 same i got a £50 one from argos tryin to upgrade it

  • would this go ina 1/10 scale HSP brontosaurus??

  • @GOLDENCANS67 Not familiar with that vehicle but this system will work in any 1/10-scale vehicle that you can use a standard 540-sized motor in.

  • @HorizonRCdotCom Will this motor work in my jrxs Type r. if not what motor would you recommend.

  • @ZXETIT It will, however you'll probably want to go with a sensored system in there, something like an Xcelorin, LRP or Novak.

  • @GOLDENCANS67 ya actually it does i have one

  • this is the best looking truck in its class. by class i mean vs stampede. i have 2 stampedes and does anyone know if you can put these losi wheels on the stamped cuz i want to for scale look

  • cool

  • 3:48 ploop hahahahaha

  • i would like to do this sort of thing to a J82 converted associated t4.

  • can u review the 1/18 scale highroller i want to get the 1/18 but dont see many vids of it?

  • @GrehgTube It's on the to-do list. I was going to try to do it while I was out at Losi recently but ran out of time.

  • @HorizonRCdotCom oh do u think u will in the future?

  • @GrehgTube I am hoping to, yes.

  • Do you know if they sell aluminum wheels to that fit and work with lthe losi high roller tires?

  • @MaxxTraction I haven't seen them, sorry. Aluminum wheels would be amazingly heavy too and really hurt performance.

  • i have that controller behind but it belongs to my micro dt :D

  • help?!?!?!?!

    if i have a 11,1 V lipo on a 3300 KV motor

    and a 11,1 V lipo on a 3900 KV motor

wich will go faster. and how much faster ??

    thankdsss

  • @mikestar50 The 3900kV would be faster

  • Highroller + brushless = goodbye gears

  • Not if you set your slipper clutch correctly and use the aluminum idler gear. I have not had any drivetrain problems with this setup thus far. The main thing to remember is to set that slipper properly.

  • I want to do that to my evader EXB which motor ESC you think i should get. And can you change a 2WD into a 4WD.

  • The New Dynamite Fuze systems are really nice. They're very programmable, there's a number of different motors available and they're very smooth. I have to say for a sensorless system it's about the smoothest one I've used thus far. And there's no conversion kit for that truck that I know of. The only ones I've ever seen was about 15-years ago MIP and a few others had 4WD Conversions for the old gold tub RC10.

  • does the same concept work with traxxas rc's?

  • For the most part, yes. Your disassembly and reassembly process might be a little different but it's pretty similar.

  • You have to change the planetary diff to a ball diff or it will strip it.

  • Totally not the case. I ran this truck with the stock diff without any problems.

  • Mine stripped in the first run, I must have gotten a bad diff. Sent pics to Losi about this problem.

  • how fast is the high roller stock

  • We got about 18-20MPH out of ours.

  • I have a losi mini baja and i was wondering if i did get a Xcelorin brushless kit would I have to upgrade the servo and reciever?

  • I can't remember if that came with a 2.4GHz Spektrum Radio system or not. If it did then no, you're good to go.

  • So I have a 1 18 slider and am going with a 8200kv system with a 1650mah battery. I was wondering if i would have to purchase new gears or other parts to prevent it from breaking

  • You shouldn't.

  • do brusless motors ever go out

  • While rare, yes, it can happen. They are much more durable though than brushed motors ever were.

  • would the Desert Truck need a Transmission gear upgrade?

  • No it does not

  • Will that Aluminum Idler gear fit in the Losi desert truck tranny?

  • No, the transmissions are totally different between the HIGHroller and the Desert Truck.

  • i got a question, why do some motors have 2 wires coming out and some have 3? whats the difference? please reply

  • The motors with 2 wires are brushed while brushless require a 3 wire configuration.

  • Hi horizon, I have a few questions on a Brushless system for my Losi 1/10 Desert Truck. I dont want to go to fast so that I cant control it, basically what I want is 30-35 mph out of my truck, 40 would be acceptable, but thats getting a little fast for me. I also want longer run times. Im currently using a 6-cell Dynamite 4600mAh battery, What brushless system would you recommend for my truck to do those things.

    Please Reply, thank you

  • You know you might want to check out the new Dynamite Fuze series of Brushless motors and ESC's. The DYN3736C is a 5800Kv motor and ESC combo that will get you some really good performance, probably over 40 but would be harder to control. Honestly the SC-Spec combo might be right up your alley, DYN3734C is the P/N. Check them both out on the Horizon Hobby website.

  • Hey thanks for the fast reply bro

  • We aim to please :)

  • so why is this system made most short course? because thats not the kind of truck I have.

  • It's designed to mimic the speed and performance out of the Titian 12T motor that comes with the Slash but it'll work in any vehicle. I'd say it's a little quicker than a good Stock 27T motor.

  • ok thx

  • How long does the Nimh 7.2v battery last? Where can I buy a lipo battery which will be suitable for this car? Also I have not been able to find an english site that sells spare parts, batteries etc, do you know of any?

    Thanks!

  • Horizon Hobby's website will have everything you'll need. From hop-up parts to LiPo batteries, chargers and more. The 6-cell pack will last about 8-12 minutes depending on how you use the throttle. The Losi LOSB9868 3600mAh LiPo will work well in this truck.

  • Thank you for your quick reply, I have been on the UK Horizon hobby website but there is no link I can see which allows me to buy any of the spare parts, I can only see pictures of them. Can you give me a link fo where I can actually buy the spare parts for the High roller, Thanks!

  • I just sent you a message with the e-mail address on who you can contact. Let me know how it goes.

  • That's baloney about the gear cover completely sealing the gears. I get sand in my gears all the time. I think it comes in right through the motor. I've done everything humanly possible and I still get grains jammed in the spur gear.

  • Sand can be a wild card, I'll admit that, simply because of the finite grains. For most pieces of debris, like rocks, leaves, grass, mud, etc this is completely sealed. If you're really having issues with sand you can use some Silicone to seal the gear cover to the motor plate, but getting back under there will be a little more difficult later.

  • How do I choose a motor? How does kV affect my choice?

  • the lower the kv the better for offroad, the higher the kv, better for onroad.

  • The higher the KV the faster the motor. What vehicle are you looking to put a brushless into and what sort of running are you looking to do?

  • Yes, I assumed that was the case. But whats an example of a 'low' and 'high' kV? I'm looking for a motor for a mini T. I want to use it on soft sand without burning up the motor.

  • I always had good luck running a Dynamite DYN3710 8000kV motor in my Mini-T. It's fast enough to be a lot of fun but not so fast as to be hard to control or hook-up.

  • So the magic number is 8000. Thanks!!

  • rc racing is a hobby

  • would i need the idler gear for the dsert truck

  • No, the Desert Truck uses a different transmission than the HIGHroller.

  • u too old to play with rc cars

  • That's the beauty of RC. You're never too old!

  • i have a novak ballsitic 3.5r 5000 mah lipo 90+ miles

  • I have the 3.5T brushless with a Tekin RS Pro....MY WORD ITS A BULLIT

  • I have a Losi Desert Truck 1/10. I use a 3800mah battery, how fast do you think it would go if I added a Losi 4800kv brushless?

  • faster than it needs to be, probably around 50 if you have some nice lipo batteries but if you just use your 3800 mah battery it probably will do like 35-40 or maybe a little less.

  • thx

  • Comment removed

  • Would the High Roller accept any XXX-T CR parts?

  • Not without some serious modifications. The shocks will transfer over without much fuss bue everything else is totally different.

  • ok, I would think that it wouldnt be the same like a traxxas type. Losi is such a high quality brand that they don't reuse most parts.

  • You guys really shouldn't have skipped the idler gear as that is the hardest thing bar none in this install. I would also recommend going with a better tx/rx. It made a world of difference because my stocker kept cutting out past 50 feet. Another necessary upgrade is the dogbones. They bend pretty quick once you start running brushless. Check out the other vids for the part numbers. Now If you really want to go crazy I added 8ight-t rear shocks all the way around for the big bore appearance.

  • Actually I meant that I'll be showing how-to install that gear in a separate video. It's on the docket :)
