@TrueCountryGirl918 they are called Caracals. They are similar to Servals in size and behavior and found in Africa. Typically they are far more aggressive and do not make good pets.

When one of our kitties was less than a year, he was stalking the jack-o-lantern I was making. He wound up doing this slow army-man creep on his belly to get at the pumpkin guts! The look on his face was hilarious, one of "This is disgusting, but I can't stop eating it!" We almost keeled over laughing. :)

Seriously, is there something that attracts them, the smell or the color?

@Vmpyrchik Funny! It could be the color, all our cats just love having something to destroy, but we also read somewhere that pumpkins has similar qualities/smell to catnip, so this could be why they love them so much too! :)

In all honesty, in many ways, the cats are better off here. They're safe from poachers and hunters and other hazards. They're always well fed and safe and they don't have a care in the world. Yeah I get that they do belong in the wild and that there aren't a lot of sanctuaries like this but soon this might be the only chance these animals have of survival. And if anywhere, it would be here that they would sruvive

@milklauz They were living together where we rescued them from in New England. It was a roadside zoo and we believe they were trying to breed a liger, since their rescue they have both been fixed to prevent them from breeding and enjoy living together so we keep them together :)

@dangobearsthe white tiger is zabu and the lion is cameron. a breeder tried to get then together to try to make ligers. the only liger used to exhist at big cat rescue. since zabu and cameron were together since the beginning they have become close friends so BCR tried to keep them together. cameron had sugery so he cant produce any cubs with zabu.

I don't know why cats are attracted to pumpkins. My little domestic feline can't stay away when we carve pumpkins every year. Must be the smell or taste. We had to prevent him from eating the innards! Maybe I just have a slightly unusual kitty.

@SuperGamerCredit Many of our tigers are what we call generic tigers, they have been bred in backyards and are a cross breed of different sub species, we don't have any tigers that are 100% anything, if that makes sense? Our tigers are mainly bengal/siberian cross breeds.
