Google Hue massacre, My Lai massacre and you'll see how your great VN vets "composed themselves" when they were in VN. And I'm not talking about the thousands of civiilans maimed, killed and poisoned by US bombings, Agent Orange and napalm.
It has nothing to do with how the American army behaved when they were here, we're always friendly to foreign people. Today, even if you come to Hanoi where many people were killed by American bombs during the war, we will welcome and treat you as friends.

This is not China beach. This is Danang Beach which belongs to province Danang of Vietnam. Please dont confuge sea and beach. South China sea is south to China and east to Vietnam. There is no any beach in Vietnam named China beach
I was a Marine Corpsman with 3rd Amtracs in 1969, stationed a China Beach. It was the "In Country" R&R Center. Units came in for 5-6 days rest and relaxation. My aid stationed stayed bust with injuries from over zealous resting and relaxing.
