@roboshuffle Those were done in 1997 for Manitoba Telecom Services. I was looking for those on Google and haven't found anything yet. The tagline was "welcome to the future".
I don't think there was one like that. There's this one, a second one where she's hopping on a stone, one where she mention's MCI's name while she's standing in snow, the def. of "Info Superhighway", and then one where she's standing near a torch/flame.
oh yes i def remeber her saying " on the information superhighway there will be no trafic jams" with the old car in the sand. id love to see it again.
Darnit, I really want to see the rest of these commercials. Hearing Anna Paquin say "Information Superhighway" in that accent is my favorite piece of '90s nostalgia.
Well, she was born in Winnipeg, then lived in New Zealand, and then lived in Canada again. She had a New Zealand accent because she spent her early childhood in NZ...so I would say she's BOTH Canadian and a New Zealander ;)
I am still looking for the other MCI commercial during that time period that goes "its about how and now..." that is from Internet MCI. To me that ad says something about the early days of the internet and historians will look at that some day
Thats cause they dont speak english in New Zealand, they speak something called Moorei. She has done well to learn english thought at such a young age after to coming USA
I fell head over heels in love with her when I say her on this mersh. My friends thought I was crazy. A few years later they were thinking she's the hottest, and I had to remind them about the ad. thanks for the vid!!
and who would have thought this sweet girl would turn out to be a pornstar....
thats where u get up without Islam.

With all due respect to the lovely, talented Ms. Paquin, these commercials gave me the creeps back in the day.

It would be nice if someone would find the several others like this. This is actually one of the lesser ones.

This was the one I never saw. Thanks!
I didn't know who she was. I always assumed she was supposed to be playing Alice Liddell.

A guy named Paul Wolfe wrote all the commercials; find him and he will be happy to share them with you.

tonytwister18 4 years ago
On the Information Superhighway ad, she says it's "not about digits, or even highways. It's about you, and me, and Uncle Jack, and everybody."
Car in the sand? I don't think I've seen it. Hopefully someone will put it up.

Actually, Anna was born in Winnipeg Manitoba, Canada. She lived there until she was around four, before moving with her mother to New Zealand.
