That's not to say it's a bad game, it was just the Zelda that didn't impress me as much as the others. Sure the Ganondorf fight was epic, but he was essentially a Dark Nut and that was a bad choice. He should've had a different fighting style, yadda yadda.

I do like the darker tone of TP,but other than that it wasn't as amazing as everybody said it was.

Not a chance. This came out in 1988, correct? After Castlevania. After Gradius. After Life Force (well, the arcade version at least - the NES version came out in 1988, so I'm not sure which came first that year.) After Space Harrier. After Haunted Castle (probably redundant to mention since I already mentioned Castlevania, but whatever.) After... you see where this is going.

Still a great piece of music regardless, of course, but it's wrong to call it the first badass piece of game music ever.
