  • Sounds like things are going really good! That is good to hear. My doc told me no straws for at least 6 months. I was also surprised to hear that they gave you tomato soup in the hospital. All I got was ice chips and sugar free applesauce. I still haven't had any tomato based stuff. I hope everything continues to go well. Please take it easy and don't over do it.

  • I am glad you made it through the surgery okay.

    Get ready for your transformation.

    Much Love,

    Miguel

  • Glad you are home and settling in. Please slow down on the drinking, 8 oz should take you at least 45 mintues. Wow, a week out and already planning on eating an appetizer at a restaurant? Do you have any restrictions, like liquids first week, soft foods 2nd week, etc..

If you think you are eating to fast a good trick is to use a timer. meals should take at least 20 minutes.

The hospital bed probably had a built in scale, so they have your weight.

Speedy recovery, straws = burping air gets in!

  • Great to see that you are having a good recovery!

  • Glad you're home and doing so well. Great news about getting rid of the insulin. This surgery is fantastic for diabetics!

  • I am so glad to you you home, Thats okay that we got cut off, I just wanted to make sure you were doing well, it sounds like you are. God Bless you and rest and drink drink drink. Kristy

  • Good to see you up and around. Sounds like you're doing really well. You said your scar was long, why couldn't you have laproscopy?

  • the doctor prefers a hands on surgery where everything is right there in the open. He didn't take my gall bladder as he once said he would but said if I have to have it out he will do that larascopically.

  • Whoo Hoo!! Welcome home!! This is the hardest time you will have. Hang in there, you will get through it. They had my surgery time mixed up too on my surgery day. You sound like you are all set up at home!! Keep up the good job!!

    ((HUGS)) and prayers,

    Rebecca

  • Glad to see your doing well Joyce. Welcome to losertown!
