How the hell my mom missed this show I'll never know! My mother was a huge Cream fan right from their start, after a friend played "Fresh Cream" at a party and she flipped for it. My mom saw The Beatles twice, The Doors at the Hollywood Bowl, Hendrix at Anaheim Convention Center, Jefferson Airplane at The Shrine, but she somehow missed CREAM!
@stuart5223 Why thank you! Yes, I was DEFINITELY blessed with a cool mom. Might I add she also saw Canned Heat, Iron Butterfly, Steppenwolf, The Chambers Brothers, The Yardbirds, The Byrds, and CCR.
@AvirtualSwitzerland Well, The Dead wasn't for everybody. For some reason The Dead passed my mom by. She loved Airplane, Moby Grape (the best late '60s San Francisco band as far as I'm concerned), Steve Miller Band, and Quicksilver Messenger Service but she never got into The Dead.
@AvirtualSwitzerland I believe it. They had the same elements The Dead had, only Grape was tighter and more energetic. Almost like a punk version of The Dead.
my understanding was that every band in the US at that time practically sh*t their pants when they saw and heard Cream play live

Saw two nights two sets a night and yes the volume was intense, but the LSD made it tolerable. Ha Ha

cool, Jack using a Marshall P.A. head in addition to his other head
for those who haven't been in the Whiskey, it's a very small club – the volume must have been pretty intense
btw, how does one leave their wah-wah at home? – haha
