hi. ur work gr8. wat tool r u using there btw?? the one which takes large amounts of the lino up, as at schl we onli have like tiny knives that if I wanted 2 do wat u done there, would take me like 3 days!! thanks!
It was a joke actually. Notice the "lol" by any chance? Where's your sense of humour? I did say I thought the video and result were beautiful so it was hardly an insult to him. Oh dear..oh dear.
@Alosnup You need an old photocopier for this method.
1. apply thin wash of Turps to a sheet of clean paper with a brush, el cheapo office paper is best, and wait for it to dry a little so there are no big pools of turps.
2. place photocopy face down on block and place turpsy sheet over it.
3. keeping the papers firmly in place, burnish paper (with wide burnisher or metal spoon) so the image transfers.
If you have a difficult to transfer image use wintergreen oil on the back of the photocopy
What kind of material are you carving? Does it have a brand name? Is it easier to cut than the beige colored linoleum? Wow the image really pops out. Beautiful
wow

I really liked what you did there. Gonna try that. Adds a whole new look to lino prints. Well, not new any more but new to me. Thanks
