  • @plavins1 ha ha i bet ya

  • lol pure ass blaster!!!!!!!

  • For heaven's sake. These are the tanks as they appear up to 1' 55": 0:00 Schneider CA1 (French, WWI) 0:09 British Mk V* loaned to France, and French Renault FT (post-WWI) 0:14 Christie T3 (Later adopted by the Russian as BT tank) 0:34 Char 2C (French, interwar and earlyWWII) 0:49 6-Ton Tank M1917 (US copy of Renault FT, post WWI) 1:00 Renault FT, possibly. 1:03 T4 Medium (USA, 1937) 1:13 M2A2 (USA, inter-war) 1:22 Pzkpfw II (Germany) 1:36 Vickers Medium Mk II (GB)
  • British Mark IV Tank, German A7V, and French Renault FT-17

  • some tanks bounce?

  • good video

  • whats the name of that song?

  • Its the theme song to the "Battlefield 1942" video game.

  • thank you!

  • @hxcjeff it's awesome and suiting to your vid is what it is....well done, awesomevid, I'll defo sub you

  • @tomvette2003 Its called the Germans couldn't win 1 war little own 2 wars

  • nice

  • Both types of tanks at 0:12 and 0:54 are in the American Armoured Foundation museum in Danville Va. I never thought I'd see one and thought none were left but there they were.

  • Well, the small little british bastards are dam fast, aren't they? I always thought the WW1 tanks where mostly about 8mph max. Pretty good maneuverability for that time. I'd love to see a Tiger performing at Verdun though. Devastating. He'd run out of ammo soon. ^^

  • Yeah , the Tiger would have spent out rather quickly. What amazes me is how fast Christies Prototype tank is at 0:13.

  • Well, wasn't fast enough for him, seemingly... I wonder if there is any footage of one of his crazy flying tanks of WWII. But yeah, brilliance and insanity they say... ; ) I actually like it when the video author is answering to a few selected comments. Cudos to you!

  • Not sure about it , but I will see if I can hunt down some footage of the "flying tank'...lol. If I am successful ...I'll post it.

    Thanks,

    Jeff

  • There are no "small little british bastards" in this film. In order of appearance, the tanks shown here are: Schneider CA1 (French, WWI); Renault FT (French) and British MkV* in French use (WWI); several Christies (USA, 1920s); Char 2C (French, post WWI); more Renault FTs; more Christies; after about 1' 20" some German WWII Panzer II, then some British Vickers mediums (early WWII); thereafter, all German WWII.

  • I'm awfully sorry. I don't recognize those tanks so good, especially on old footage. But thanks to your post I'm now a bit smarter, at least in that subject. Did the US use their tanks in WW1? And when did the soviets (aka russian empire) start to develop tanks?

  • The USA used mostly French and some British tanks in WWI. Only a few copies of the Renault were made by USA, too late for the War. There were several Russian designs, but only a couple of prototypes built, none of which saw action.

  • @Dunkelseele

I'm not sure he would, actually. They carried a hundred shells or so. ..were there even a hundred tanks fielded in WW1?

  • well ya i even liked the music. what they spent on this arcade game i could make a quality non arcade game easily. just a waste really. EA to me means everything arcade.

  • that game sucked and was arcade bs.

  • still the music was good even though the game was lacking

  • what tank is at 1:04

  • US M2 ? with "mae west" varient?

  • Hmm, that's hard to say. Most experimental tanks didn't even make it into the book. Or at least tanks that did not see service. The US experimented with many tanks before WWII. So I don't know.

  • A T4 Medium (USA).

  • :53 nice FT17s clip

  • Quantity over quality, as Lenin once said. God, think about how scared you would be if a million FT-17 charged and attacked you!

  • hey isint this the song from the battlefield bad company videogame?

  • It sure is

  • it is?

so can you tell me the name?

  • I havent heard the one from the Battlefield Bad company game but I got it from the soundtrack for the original Battlefield 1942 game for PC. They probably used the same song for Bad company as well.

  • nah that song was never on the bad company

  • Battlefield 1942.

  • Impressive, excellent footage. Very nice...

    Awesome stuff.

  • Thanks so much. I'm glad you liked it.

  • "i love how the old tanks have massive catapillar tracks"

Not all of them. One of the 1st French heavy tanks, in 1916-1917, was a battlecruiser on such narrow caterpillars that the poilus nicknamed it "the elephant with gazelle feet". They drea the lesson when they designed the FT17 (0:50).

  • You refer to the St. Chamond. Its tracks were no narrower than any others of the time. It got that nickname because the wheelbase was too short, so the hull overhung at the front and rear.

  • i wonder what would have happened to american and soviet tank production if the americans had accepted mr. christies tank design (shown at 0:23) instead of rejecting it, then the soviets wouldn't have got the design and where would they have been

  • I agree. A very good and educated question. America did eventually incorporate Christies suspension designs, but not till much later in the war. Christie was never really given the credit he deserved, in my opinion.

  • thats a huge bi**s

  • I realy believe you when you say you have 4:10 minuts of extremely rare tape of extinct tanks.

  • it cool when the tank bounces on the road when its on top speed

  • cool! whats the music?

  • love when the panzer IV comes crashing through the wall at 2:48

  • I think that's a Panzer II, man.

  • YAY love the BF music. Nice touch lol. Now I want to load all my BF ww2 games lol.

  • lol. Brings back memories, doesn't it?

  • i love how the old tanks have massive catapillar tracks

  • ive always wondered how the treads stick to the wheels....

  • The majority of tanks have wheels with grooved slots in the middle of the wheel. The tread has a series of teeth on the underside that fit inside that groove as it rotates around and onto the wheel. Much like the way train wheels fit to a trains track, the teeth force the tread to stay in place. Hope that helps.

  • love this video , motivates me

  • Much appreciated.

  • motivates you to what, warfare?

  • thanks for this vid i really needed it so thanks alot!!!!!

TYPE IN ADAM V ON A MOTRBIKE!!!!

  • World War II Tanks you gotta lovem, just like the German Tiger Tank and their King Tiger Tank, the most killer tank ever built, and don't forget their Panzer V (Panther) and Panzer IVs, they changed the way people look at tanks nowadays...

  • panzers changing history

  • nice battle field music is perfect

  • That thing got air at 1:18

  • aaah batlefield 1942 still a great online game of ww2 :P still playing it

  • I'm pretty amased how the ww1 tanks fast were^^

It's a great video.. I like the soundtrack of it.. Anyone knows what's the title?

  • Thanks. The soundtrack is from the video game Battlefield 1942.

  • Tanks make for cool videos.I recently found a good deal more tank footage, I have not seen before. Hopefully a new vid soon. Glad most of you enjoy it.

  • It was nice to see inter-war footage, nice shots of the American Christie.

  • enter, bouncy tank!

  • LOL I love tanks! knocking over trees and crap! LOL

  • and like 5 ton tanks bouncing LOL

  • wow i was going 2 post this vid on youtube how dare u beat me 2 it! the footage is in german

  • Woot cool, can you tell me the name of the song. It's not discribed @ details :p

  • its the opening music to the PC game Battlefield 2 i think.

  • Thanks ;)

  • Naw, the music the the theme for Battlefield 1942. Im pretty sure Battlefield 2 has a different theme.

  • 00:17-00:32 is like a car with a cannon

  • POETRY OF MACHINARY

  • i wish i had a tiger tank

  • nice, that's some of the best ww1 and ww2 footage i've seen, i especially liked the tank that 'bounced' over on and off the road. GO FRENCHYS!!!!

  • awesome footage loved every minute of it.

  • Thanks.

  • Extraordinary. I had no idea tanks of that era were so fast

  • Mostly french tanks, as they could retreat faster ;)

  • lol thats a good burn

  • That was pretty stinkin' funny!

  • General Pershing's command tank, painted high gloss olive drab and outfitted in luxury, is on display at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds Tank Museum in Maryland, USA. The tracked vehicle could do 70 Miles per hour in WWI.

  • Awesome. I would love to visit there sometime.

  • Its an amazing place, as they have nearly every tank from WWI and WWII neatly lined up in an massive field for you to examine. It really helps one put things in perspective to actually see the tanks in real life. For instance, the German Panther is called a medium tank, even as it dwarfs our Sherman medium tank. The Tiger and King Tiger were scary as hell, and Russian tanks look like they were slapped together by grade school kids. Which they may have been..

    Thanks for the great Vid.

  • No problem. I enjoyed making it. I am going to plan to visit Maryland soon to see the tanks.

    Thanks.

  • tnx for this video, very educational

  • BF 1942 music.... Nice. Mostly WW2 tanks though.

  • italy has tiny tanks!!

  • kind got boring at the end... but it was a good vid. if i could rate, i would give it 4*'s
