My Industrial Piercing!

so does it basically feel like a regular cartiledge piercing on both ends?? i really want one done but everyone says it hurts bad

@MilleLacsLakerChick Do you have any other piercings? It's basically like a cartilage, and the pain on the first hole takes away the pain on the second one. The healing process is worse that taking the actual piercing, just take my advice and clean it very well, and NEVER sleep on that side untill it's healed properly. I had to learn that the hard way...

I am a guy from a hardened backround, and when i got my industrial 4 days ago i was calm, but when i heard the pop of my ear it freaked me right out, and it didnt tickle either! if your a pussy i dont recomend

How swollen did it get? That's really all I'm worried about.

@bethanynizzle For the first few days everything seems perfect, but keep it very clean because the swelling comes after a week or so, but it wasn't much at all, the only kind of swelling i got on my industrial were small lumps filled with blood. Mine got a little infected because i wasn't good at NOT sleeping on it, but my piercer just told my to pop the little blood lumps and it would be fine. Just rinse it well and don't sleep on it, you shouldn't get swollen. good luck!

@bethanynizzle Acually, when I got mine done, It was swollen for the first day, the next day the swelling went down about 75% and by the third day everything was perfect !! I've had mine for about 2 months now && no swelling ever since. I clean it twice a day with a warm salt (distilled)water soak (it works the best) :D rinsing with normal tap water and soap wont do much.

@inrussian It is one of the most painful, but nose piercings are the most painful they say...lol, i got that one too ;) i don't mind the pain, i think it's kind of addictive. I can get piercings without parents permission, and i did with this one, but when it comes to surface piercings the piercer is very strict on checking ID.

@Mkl1998 The first hole i would say 7, but the second one you won't really feel because of the pain in the first one. nothing to be nervous about, just remember to breathe. it will be more painful if you hold your breath (which some people do automatically). good luck!

I'm 14 and I really want this piercing!

I have had both my ears pierced three times! I got it done with a crappy gun though/:

It didn't hurt me.. But I'm just wondering if anyone could tell me the rate if the pain on this? I hate needles so much.. But I really want to get it for my birthday in December.

@RIOTinWonderland1 Hii! Just so you know, a gun is more painful, but the pain with a needle lasts longer..i've done both and if i had to choose i would go for needle again. The pain in my ear i would say 6,5. Ask the piercer to start on the one furthest away from the head aswell, it's less painful and you won't really feel the second one because of the pain in the first one.

like i tell others, DO NOT sleep on that ear! I screwed that rule and it got infected, but it's fine now :) good luck!!

@BeautifulxoxoSarah The piercer told me to just buy saltwater from the drug store. The people there just gave me eyedrops, and a friend of mine got nosedrops...so don't worry about it not being for the ear, if it's saltwater it's the best thing to use. Just remember to buy a fresh bottle after 2 weeks, saltwater only stays fresh for two weeks. And another tip i had to learn the hard way, DON'T SLEEP ON IT! trust me!

@rockchalkkayhawk i kne the camera was on, so i tried my best not to look nervous, but trust me i was! I have a nose piercing aswell, and that hurt alot more than the industrial! After the piercer sticks the needle through your ear you won't feel any pain on the next ;) You might feel it pulsing the rest of the day, and be careful not to sleep on that ear! I didn't pay much attention to that rule, and it got a little infected....hope that all made sense :) any other questions, just message me :)

@igorstates i have two standard earpiercings, and one extra on my right ear, my industrial (which i count as two), one on my nosewing and in my navle :) i'm planning on taking a ring towards the top of my left ear once i can afford it....and no, i'm quite the rockaholica, so people don't really get surprized when i show up with a new piercing.

@igorstates Well, i got a gift voucher from my friends for x-mas, and i already have a nose-ring, so i didn't want more in my face...at that time i had a haircut that looked like i had a sidevut aswell, so i thought a bar in my ear might look good. You don't really have to be that brave, it doesn't hurt untill a while after. besides, nose piercing was the most painful out of my 7 piercings!

@igorstates Thanks, the piercing guy said my ear was a really great shape for a bar :) Trust me, i was in quite a bit of pain, but i remember concentraiting on a bird flying outside the window...that's why i look lost i guess. lol.
