I believe that the ice cream symbolises just how fragile this world can be, there are so many threats highlighted by this one single food, such as famine and global warming. It's part in the film however creates a juxtapose by both being a symbol for the fall of planet Earth, all that we know, and yet the thing that saves us from the giant space robutts. I rate this film: 5 Stars.
